  1. Blackhawks are making the right decision. In a game your goal as a team is to win, not risk a loss trying to develop one player. Bedard will get these minutes as he gains experience and can be completely trusted in these defensive moments of the game.

  2. The poor guy, needs help, not just bodies,Seth Jones, what a waste of all that money, and time,my lord, the media, acts like the hawks have all these great young players, and more in the minors! They do not impress,a real hockey fan,and especially people who have played the game! The coach is doing the right thing, otherwise very few players can step right in and become stars!Especially with the players he has to play with!

  3. You don’t want to burn the kid out. He’s going to be great in 3 years. Hawks are trying to build the value of players like Dickinson before the trade deadline.

  4. I said from day ONE he will be around 75 pts and that is good there are NO players around him he will be fine he needs to work on his D play he is not very good and playing center is a 200 foot game !!!

  5. He’s not good defensively, when he gets better at that he will be trusted.. they’re making the sensible decision

  6. The kid is drawing top NHL defensive players night after night. Bedard is not able to create his own time in space at this level yet. Very few players can be the top target for the other team and be effective. You saw it with Kane many times over the years. He would be played on the second line to get him away from the top defensive players of the other team. As of now, the Hawks are a minor-league team with a few vets. Three players they brought in are on the DL or gone. It is up to the Hawks management to give the young players the right support on the ice. That means getting more help for the kids.

  7. I give him as much ice time as he wants…. 👀👍✨ He's the best player on the Hawks…🥳🎉

  8. Dude, why are you making hockey commentary videos if you don't even understand the basics of hockey??? The entire point is to WIN! This isn't a benching, it's strategic deployment. In other words, the coach is doing his job! If Bedard's development was the primary goal, that's what the American League is for. This guy is playing massive minutes compared to anything Alexis Lafrenière has received to this point in his career. Bedard has enough to learn about playing in the NHL already without tackling 5 on 6 defending. He'll get those prime empty net goal minutes soon enough. Probably even this season.

  9. You’re way off. Why would you put Connor in key face off situations especially when you’re up. You want him blocking shots 6on5 give your head a shake. It’s a balance for team morale as well. Let him watch from the bench in those situations…he’s young let his body mature.

  10. That article spells kurashevs name wrong and bedard is usually centering kurashev so this makes no sense. Plus, why would you want bedard out there when you finally have a lead? You dont want him blocking shots, hes a goal scorer/creator on a team full of 3/4th line players. Hawks need him out there fresh when they need goals, usually when theyre down. Exactly how hes deployed.

  11. The Blackhawks were killing penalties in the period vs the Ducks they were stuck in the d zone so much it was smart move to not play Bedard in those situations.

  12. who's the genius who thinks the 18 year old kid is supposed carry the day? look at his plus minus. the opposition isn't scoring when he's on the ice even in the games they are getting beaten badly in.

  13. Hmmm… I watch every game as if my life depended on it. What I see is a guy who loses possession of the puck WAY too easily. He is not the only one on the team that is like that. It actually is the achilles heel of the Hawks, not having enough touch on passes, or not having soft enough hands to catch a puck or a firm enough grip on your stick to win puck battles. It is obvious the other teams are way better at possessing the puck. This is why they give up more shots, need to block more shots, need a goalie to stand on his head every night. It is also obvious that Bedard's line is the worst at getting the puck up the ice. Once in the zone they can toss it around, but the old school hockey still wins the day for the Hawks and the other lines are just better. I think he should be on a Dickinson line and let him play in all situations. I think he would learn from those guys how to keep the puck moving out of the zone and up the ice. I blame the coach for not surrounding Bedard with more aggressive forecheckers and north south players.

  14. Are they showcasing their centers to trade one of Dickinson, Tyler Johnson or Kurashev? If not I can't think of a good reason tbh

  15. They are doing this mainly Dickinson, and Johnson because they are tradable pieces when the deadline passes bedsy will play minutes. Dickson is on pace for 40 points at 2.1 million he’s definitely going to be the top trade piece at the deadline.

  16. He’s 18 and is playing with men. If he got hurt then it’s the fault of the coach . Give me abrake. I dis agree with you.

  17. The Blackhawks have failed Bedard, they have given him no supporting cast, the guys they brought in have proven to be washed up, the Blackhawks have lots of $$$ to spend, and lots of pics to trade with, instead, they talk of a “5 year plan” after trading away a wealth of talent, this organization has become a joke
