  1. “Nothing too serious at first, a Wide Right here… being the walking punchline of the NFL throughout the 70s to mid-80s… losing in 4 straight Super Bowls…and then top it all off with a Music City Miracle.”

Now take that concoction and microwave for 13 seconds for maximum misery. Hell of a game though. Made me a Bills fan despite all that.

  2. "Every player worth a damn demanding their agents not speak to Buffalo."

How the tables have turned for the Bills almost five years later.

  3. Tree
    One point of contention
The Sabres only got slapped around by the Canes because they had to play the Rochester Americans on the blue line
A heroic effort but one that fell short

  4. The Sabres have the longest Legacy of Failure in the NHL (tied with Vancouver). The Bills only have one in the Super Bowl era, having won an AFL title.

In fact their last title is the same year as the Browns' last title.

  5. Update: 4 years later the Bills are now the best team in the AFC East and a real Super Bowl contender and the Sabres still suck major ass.

  6. Watching the preseason of the 2022 Bills now.

I feel like I need to watch this video every year to keep perspective…

  7. One thing is for sure!
The Buffalo Sabres should have NEVER abandoned / returned to use there old colors and logo.
The logo and colors of 1996-2006 with the angry Bison and the Black/White/Red was the best ever the franchise have had. Also the franchise had had most sucsess during that era as well compared to current/old of Blue/White/Yellow who represents all franchise failures. There current jerseys are so darn boring and bland.

  8. I like both teams but honestly if the bills don’t win a Super Bowl while they’re good I want a part 2 😂

  9. Listening to this is funny because the hiring of Sean McDermott and the gutting of the entire FO by Terry Pegula was the turning point for the Bills, we just didn't know it at the time

  10. 6 years later: The Bills are still among the NFL's elite, but still searching for a Super Bowl. The Sabres also just had a winning season!

  11. And now both franchises are viewed in a respectable light! (Arguably in spite of Terry Pegula, not because of him). Josh Allen, Tage Thompson, Sean McDermott, Don Granato, Brandon Beane, and Kevyn Adams, among others, will be revered for years to come.

  12. I love the fact that this video came up right after the Bills lost to Denver. I feel nervous that the Bills' mediocrity has just stabilized up a bit. I have this strange confidence that they'll make the playoffs because they own the Dolphins, but every so often I want to wonder, "What's the point? They may go out in the first round this year. They need to draft, like, Mitch Morse's replacement (that can pull an Eric Wood and play guard for a few years) or Von Miller's replacement and all that does is make trading up more expensive."
