His comment about how "we're not looking that far (longest franchise streak) into the future yet, we've gotta take this game by game" is the mindset you've gotta have if youre serious about this season being "cup or bust". The second i heard those three words this past summer, i immediately knew it would haunt them. Theyre just focused on working together and winning the game first and everything else after, and that's what matters.

I feel like Leon's opinion towards his own game is very toxic right now. He to not worry so much about his scoring, because he is still in the top 9 for points so far this year, and him and Mcdavid will be 1 and 2 by the end of the year. It will come Leo you worry too much
King Leon has been the model of Consistency over his entire career, this year is evolving into another set of Perfect Waves, hard work and positive focus are what keep the ball rolling. All arrows are green and pointing up. Leon is a Leader and both he and Connor have dug in really hard to get the Team rolling in the right direction and that work ethic is shared by the entire Roster, these are men who BELIEVE in the Processes and in each other. Leon is focused on the here and the now as are the rest of his Teammates….this year is beginning to feel very significant. Lets all stay focused and in the moment to.Go Oilers!!!
These reporters, one in particular, need to up their game. Can you believe a reporter actually asked if the atmosphere in the room is better now than three weeks ago. That might be the dumbest question I’ve heard this year.
