  1. Mcdavid, Drisidel, Matthews, Mackinnon, Makar, Matthew Tkchuck, etc. Honstly for D men it would be Fox, Yosi, Quinn, and Karlson. Fowards would be like Kuch, Pasta, Robertson, Jack H, and Kaprizov

  2. Mackinnon has crazy good games but also has games where he is invisible. I’d have Kucherov and Mcdavid over him but I’d put Mackinnon at #3

  3. the best thing i think you can have for a playoff run is a good D Cale Makar , Victor Hedman are my tops if the Sabres ever gets to the playoffs run i'd like to see how Dahlin plays in the playoffs

D man gives you points chances to score and pushes the best line on the other team it's hard vs a good D

  4. To me, just from the perspective of what he brings to the team is beyond comparable. He still wears the A even though Landeskog is out, and is being a captain along with Makar.

  5. Likely 2nd behind McJesus depending on how/where ya put Makar. Draisitl and Matthews aren’t even close.

  6. I'm a Sens fan, so maybe I see him too much… but it would take some serious convincing for me to not take Pastrnak. Mackinnon is insane, McDavid is McDavid, of course. Pasta scares me.

  7. I love the (our) game of hockey!!! Winning at the highest level is more about the the total sum of a team's parts than any one player 🙂 Id even say more than any other sport in the world? With that being said, J. Hughes is unreal rn, never count out Sid, JT is a darkhorse, but obvi McJesus.

  8. Avs fans recognize when angry Mac gets the puck in our d zone.. here we go angy Mac, 200 feet away but sure goal

  9. Ill take Mack #1 pick every day ! …. This dude is the real deal … And HAS leadership … Not only flashy move like Mcdavid … Mcdavid clearly CANT make people follow him… He had to DO EVERYTHING …

Mack is also WAYYY better in his own zone …. Mcdavid is OFTEN beaten in his covering …

To win Ill take 29 !

To sell tickets and not care : 97

  10. These Avs are a LOT like the team I grew-up watching in the 90s in that I can't pick a favorite player. If I were to rank MacKinnon, I'd say even on his worst day he's top 10 in the league and the reason no one ranks him consistently is that he plays on the WC while most hockey fans live in and watch the EC teams. The size of a bruising grinder, the speed of McJesus, the hands of Matthews and the experience of a Superstar NHLer in their prime – unless McDavid is on an absolute heater, I can't rate him any lower that #1 since he DOES have that ring, after-all.

As for who I'd like on the Avs RN? I think an upgrade in net would be nice – Gibson from the Ducks or Hart from Philly would be nice, but ideally I'd like our good-luck charm Darcy Kuemper Back 🙂

  11. Jack Hughes brings that same competitive intensity. Obviously not the physical intensity but that scrap with Aho in the playoff speaks bounds. Im biased but man i think both are such amazing competitors.

  12. McKinnon is top 4(playoff)
    1.mcdavid
    2.makar
    3.drai
    4.mack
    Honorable mention to Mattews Tkatchuk
Like this guys have a lot of skill and all but man he only win the Calder as individual award and be honest in that Stanley cup run makar was by FAR the best player in is team. Like switch McKinnon and drai that play with Janmark and foegele and not sure he will be so good offensively

  13. As a loyal but realistic Lightning fan, as soon as the Avs advanced to the 2022 SCF as our opps, I knew we weren’t gonna win. That’s how good MacKinnon is… mad respect for that guy!

  14. Head is initial point of contact….did not mean to but hit high, should be looked at with warning at least so he knows to control his arms and tuck them in when directing the hit…I mean come the fuck on I don't even play hockey and I know this

  15. as a overall player I’d say 1st, Because if you’re talking about playoff success he has been elite , he has multiple hundred point seasons , and has won stanley cups. YES, mcdavid is the most skilled player on earth but he can’t replicate the success nathan has had in the playoffs… yet…

  16. Yep, McKinnion hit 100 points only one time which is disappointing. Points per game average puts McKinnon behind McD. I’d like to see him score more goals. BTW…Mathews has only one 100 point season.

  17. I would love to have Brady tkachuk on my team in the playoffs I think that he would be a great player in the playoffs

  18. Mack is Pure Emotion and with Landy out is the heart of our team. He is so explosive and passionate and exciting to watch. McDavid while Amazing on the ice has the personality of a tea towel.

  19. I’m an Oilers fan so McDavid aside as the clear #1. Who I pick for my absolute stud, gotta have, no question at all is Nathan MacKinnon. Complete package, reminds me of Lindros some times. Then it would go: Mathews, M. Tkachuk, Crosby, Draisaitl and Kucherov.

  20. he kinda reminds me of malkin hes one of the best but when he's pissed off there isn't a player alive that can stop him if that makes sense

  21. I'm curious to know what the difference between the speeds of McDavid and Mackinnon are. Does one have a faster acceleration the other? which of them has the higher top speed? Etc. It could be McDavid on all counts, but Idk. Regardless, Mackinnon actually blows my mind with how fast he gets from one end of the ice to the other.

It's crazy to see the level he's at compared to when I would see him play for the Mooseheads. Like, my cousin played with Mackinnon. Now he's tearing up the NHL and my cousin drives tow trucks.

  22. Not gonna lie, I hadn’t been to a game in person for a decade. I went on Monday, Calgary at Avs. First minute seeing Mackinnon drive down the ice in person I was so caught off guard. He’s playing such a different game. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. He is so fast, tight, and consistent, the only word I could use to describe his motion on the ice is artwork. I couldn’t imagine being a defenseman going toe to toe with him. He’s so locked in it’s unbelievable

  23. You can put McDavid, Kucherov and Makar over him but when people put Auston Matthews, Pastrnak or Draisaitl over him is laughable. To me, by eye test him and McDavid are 1a and 1b

  24. I got back into hockey in 19’.. perfect time for it really. As a co native and old Avs fan… first year they came here. And to see the team grow and win was really another epic sports memory. Only topped by my into to hockey when I was 13 or whatever… and seeing them win the cup first year in Denver. Just insane.

  25. Karlsson, remember Sharks cup run that ended shortly against cup winning Blues? There was absolutely no better player than EK until he got hammered. Also Senators deep run. Karlsson can make the magic and difference anytime in playoffs

  26. I think that Mackinnon is BETTER then McDavid because of his work ethic. Mackinnon gives something to your team that Mcdavid just doesn't. Grit. Mcdavid is afraid of taking a penalty or even getting his nails chipped whereas Mackinnon will throw down with the best of them, and as you said in the video has the hands to boot. I'd take Mackinnon and Crosby (prime Crosby) over McDavid any day of the week. McDavid is just a one dimensional player that no one talks about. He's about Goals, and that's it. Guys like Mackinnon and Crosby are stanley cup champs for the reason of they do everything, and well.

  27. I think Makar learned a lot from MacKinnon's style, and it is amazing. However, Makar is all the announcers talk about on non-Altitude broadcasts. Every time I'm like, what is MacKinnon chopped liver? The fire and passion MacKinnon plays with is incredible, and he highlights nearly every night.

Don't forget about Rantanen and Nichushkin, who are also beasts. These 3 forwards rarely take a night off of intense play. Makar sometimes will.

  28. They need to bring back the black pants cause those blue ones with the road uni ain't it 😂 either that or carry two pants, a burgundy pair, to go with the road uniform.

  29. He’s my favorite star player because he hits and fights. Won’t see Mcjesus, Makar or Mathews throw hands like MacK has

  30. #1. That’s where he is in my book. Not just bc of his individual play and effort but how his teammates play bc he is on their team. Takes everyone up a notch and leads by example. #1
