  1. Passing on Michkov will haunt the Habs for decades….just like Doug Wickenheiser over Denis Savard

  2. I don't mind the habs building the D first… and at the time the Ukraine War made selecting Russians a lot more debatable… they already went against the popular opinion with mailloux, I can't imagine the blowback of "supporting" a russian player would have had…

  3. I wouldn't have picked Michkov then, I still wouldn't pick Michkov now. Look at the way Hughes/Gorton/St.Louis are building the team – activating from the defense is far and away the catalyst of the team – and Reinbacher is a fantastic prospective addition to that in my opinion. There's no taking away from the fact Michkov is a phenomenal player, but in no way should we be punching air for not taking him…

  4. Philly has a much greater chance to win a cup with Michkov than Montreal has of winning one with Reinbacher.

  5. MTL draft pick are made ebcause the other team was goign to draft their player after. EX: Slaf with NJ and Reinbacher with ARI. They are so scared of makign the wost decision, that they ended up doign the worst decision. Cooley was the best pick in 2022 and Michkov was the second best pick in 2023

  6. lmao any person who think Caufield and Slafy are better than Michkov shouldnt be in the nhl working

  7. The Habs picked Reinbacher, complaining does not do anything. Deal with it. If you don't like the pick cry, about it over Michkov.

  8. I hope the reduced production is due to him being told by the Habs to work on certain aspects of his game, hence neglecting on his scoring statistics.

  9. I think Reinbacher so far has very job defensively (+3, 1st on the team) while still not doing so well on the offensive side of things. One factor that I think is stunting his development is the lack of ex-NHL presence to help guide him. One thing I saw when taking a look Kloten's team is that outside of Nathan Beaulieu (Habs legend), no ex-NHLers are the team in a league that has a lot of ex-NHLers. Reinbacher needs to get out of the Swiss league and into a better system like the SHL, CHL or AHL. I saw he was drafted in the 2022 Import draft by Sarnia. Maybe that could be a team he suits up for within the next few months.

  10. c'mon, take a chill pill buddy, seems you think you know more than long time NHL pros in Habs org …

  11. At the time of the draft, I posted everywhere that Tom Willander is superior to Reinbacher. I don't know if the Canucks felt that way because they didn't have a choice. I just didn't want the Canucks to take Reinbacher. I would not have passed on Michkov, though.

  12. UGLY? WTF are you on brotha, Reinbacher is doing just fine in Switzerland, he is currently playing for one of the worst hockey team in his league and since he's comeback his team started winning again! Yes Michkov is scoring in the KHL (a weaker league now than the Swiss League since the war started), but he nearly produce the same amount of points than last year… not so much impressed for an elite player quality!

  13. Habs are a joke of a franchise… when I heard Da da da vid it was done like the old days …

  14. Whats is the problem to wait for Reinbacher to take 2-4 years to mature? The Habs are overflowing at the defense position already.

  15. Mitchkov didn't want to play for a bunch of teams. He likely either didn't even give an interview or gave bad interviews to the teams picking high, but he didn't want to play for them. He wanted the Flyers so he was happy Flyers drafted him.

  16. What else is new in Montreal, they haven't been able to identify and pick a point per game player since 1984. Look at where Datsyuk and Zetterberg were picked. Every team in the league has been able to do it since then. Arizona had Shane Doan, sub point per game, but they did also draft Keith Tkachuk, who walked out to St.Louis when he had the chance. In otherwords, Montreal, the city of Montreal, don't know what talent is. They think talent is a solid stay at home D-man🤣🤣🤣 Montreal is a joke, and I'm a fan, ugh

  17. If michkov said he didnt want to play for the Habs, it should have been leonard or dvorsky IMHO. Actually should have been benson or simashev, but we know those two never would have gone to MTL.

    EXPLAIN YOUR TAGLINE

  18. McCagg is pretty worthless as a reliable scout, especially guys he hitches his reputation to. Hes obsessed with going against the grain, as well as Habs prospects

  19. Isnt the khl an extremly weak league atm?

I just think its way to early to have any sort of clear picture of how either of these kids will pan out.

  20. The thing I worried most about mitchkov is the prima Donna aspect of him, while Reinbacher is a big guy, patience is required with them, and I'm sure is gonna make canadien defense so much scarier

  21. Montreal has been starving for offensive talent for the last 15 years. This year again, we are last in the offensive production. To go and pick a defenseman instead of a future super star forward, will end up being the mistake that people will remember for many years. Not only that, it will be one of the reasons the Habs will never become a predominant team after the reconstruction. The Habs establishment are already aware of their mistake and are trying to spin this any way possible. Mitchkov will be a Sydney Crosby calibur player and Reinbacker will be a second pair defenseman, that is if his knees don't fail him. The Habs passed on Mitchkov because Jeff Molson wants to sell beer and didn't want to be associated with Mitchkov for political reasons. Now good luck with that Canadiens. Btw, who will we send to the All Star game?… Yes, again this year we are scratching our heads.. Suzuki? This is embarrassing. He is 66th in the league! Before him there are 6 Vancouver players, 4 Colorado players, 4 Tampa Bay Players, 3 Edmonton players, 4 Toronto Players, 3 L.A. Players, 3 Vegas players etc etc After Suzuki there are only unknown players.. I like Suzuki, he is a great guy and a very good hockey player, but he isn't a "STAR".. I don't understand the Montreal management. It's like they don't want talented players.. so weird..

  22. Resay it slowly… five points thirteen game ,was hurt too
.38ppg for a yound defenseman is really good Cmon Lego !

  23. Hughes made same mistake like Bergevin. Bergevin in his 3-4 first years he was obsessed with defenseman, totally ignoring improving or getting no 1 center.
Hughes is not different or worst than Bergevin in draft, 2 years consecutive we have flops. We need tank another 3-4 years to get elite players.
In habs system there are ZERO elite forwards.

  24. Still wondering why, if Michkov is so good, he is not playing for his own team.

''He's still too young for his team who likes older players''. He's a goshdarn point per game player and they still don't want him around. Something is wrong there.

  25. make a video on caufield being a bum lol

I thought this guy was supposed to be an elite 40 goal scorer ? 😂

  26. michkovs attitude was a huge thing to look at, and he didnt even want to be on mtl, or the other teams that passed him on
