He was an offensive defenceman and he’s getting everyone to “activate” but our forwards don’t back check! I think Leon and Connor were a -7 tonight. Coaching matters even with elite players. Just look at Vancouver and what Tocchet is doing over there. They didn’t make any huge free agent signings and they are miles ahead of the Oilers now, but last year they looked like the Oilers of this year!
The oilers are the laughing stock of the league, going from having four or five players in the top ten to the bottom of the league, time to shake it up again and fire the gm.

This is an absolute gong show of a season, and that's putting it mildly. When McDavid and Draisaitl leave for greener pastures, this fan base should really be supportive of them. There is zero chance I would tolerate this garbage, and would have demanded a trade by now, if I were either of them. Likely why I never became a pro athlete.
It speaks to their patience, and professionalism though, that they are wiling to continue on this train wreck of a team. Best wishes when you finally escape Edmonton, Connor and Leo.
Ya, sorry, but the Knob experiment, is already a colossal failure. He didn't even get the "new coach" bump in wins. They won 2 games that were pure luck, and should have lost, and after that, the reality set back in real fast.
This team needs new ownership, new management, a roster overhaul, and to bring back their winningest coach ever.
Will those things happen? No. So, polish up those 9 irons, boys. It's gonna be an early golfing season this year.
I'll never give up on this team; however, they are now entering slapstick comedy territory… like, its becoming laughable how quickly it all derails in these games. One little mishap and they cannot recover mentally and get back in it. I'm choosing to laugh and not get annoyed so I can at least still enjoy watching these games. At the end of the day, its entertainment after all.
This coaching staff will continue to be stubborn and refuses to start Pickard for at least a few games. Skinner is just not a starter right now. Same goes to the defence, get rid of that Ekholm-Bouchard pairing PLEASEEEE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD like its just common sense to changes things up when its not working
Really, this was the answer? A calming influence? Someone needs to break a stick over the table. Someone need to say our goalies can’t stop a beach ball. Kane needs to go Messier and threaten to beat a better game out of some guys. This garbage is unacceptable.
Too passive they needed someone like Gallant not a first time head coach or just leave Woodcroft in his job instead you’ve got a joke of a team. No goaltending or team defense either and that should not have been on Woodcroft but Holland escaped and now look at his mess of 💩
