Comment les Leafs devraient-ils résoudre leur problème avec Ilya Samsonov ?

  1. Top heavy will maybe outscore their problems, might work in season, come playoffs, not so much. Keep pouring the money to the forwards and centres, forget about defence and goaltending

  2. Leafs let other teams enter their zone so easily… and give them so much space. I think it's a coaching problem. I'd like to see at least 3 guys back, no more odd man rushes… but no, every other team get higher % shot attempts.

  3. I said early in the season that they invested so much money in Auston Matthews and don't have defence & goaltending! So it goes to show you that the tradition of losing & missing the playoffs in Maple Leafs Nation will continue! I hate to say I told you so!

  4. We're seeing again and again that mechanically weak goalies can not cut it in the NHL anymore. Campbell, Samsonov and Vanecek are just hilariously outmatched in this league

  5. Dubas is the idiot that put us in this position. Leafs are doomed with these 4 greats taking all the money. And nothing else to spend on the rest of the team.

  6. Show Sammie some love, Leafs nation! We need to get behind our players to help get them back on their feet when going through tough times.

  7. The Leafs are now 2nd in the Atlantic division with a D corps that's been banged up all season so far and questions in net. Brad Treliving's off season acquisitions have arguably worked out well mostly. Even John Klingberg providing LTIR cap relief (and the roster flexibility that comes with it), after not working out as a player is a favorable outcome.
I would argue that all of the new players not named Ryan Reaves have worked out from okay to very good. For a new GM who stepped in just before the draft and the free agency period, Treliving has cobbled together a roster that can at least hang out near the top of its division.

  8. I think it's being a new father… I bet he isn't getting enough sleep and also not being able to focus on his job as much.

  9. Looks good on the leafs hopefully they don't even make the playoffs Sam was bad with caps don't talk shit Sam is going down like Campbell

  10. Any other team with a D group this banged up and a goalie out would be getting praise but TSN knows there are fewer clicks in that. Clown show. Samsonov will be fine. Get off hia back.

  11. Sammy is a step slower as it is so obvious to see, and see a lack of confidence, and have to play through it till end of this year at least, there is no other options available right now. That means the Leafs has to outscore the other opponents every game, for which it's too much to ask. I guess a sub .500 record will be the case until we get a good goalie back. Hope he can turn it around.

  12. Leafs need to stop signing goalies with confidence issues. This is two in a close time frame what with Sammy and Jack Campbell. They can't continue needing 5 or 6 goals to win almost every time.he plays. Its the softies that hurt a team over the long run. Eventually the team.quits on him whether consciously or not.

  13. he may get dropped to the minors like Jackie Campbell, because nobody will take on his bad contract… thus, they'll not lose Martin Jones… its a huge wet banana slap in the face! it can be a career killer, or a motivator… depends on what character will be resolved

  14. It’s odd how none of the TSN experts are not talking about the Horrendous play of Domi an Bertuzzi. Which make the leafs a two line team or one line ,with three minutes to go . When they are loosing.

  15. Samsonov has looked lost and is on an expiring contract. There is no way this guy's gonna survive a full series, let alone a long playoff run. The answer is to replace him. There are other goalies available on cheaper contracts playing better.
