Yeah, baby!! Good to see them play solid the whole game.

  2. HarrisonHollers

Pasta was just dumb taking such a selfish penalty. Reminded me of Malkin losing his cool. Rangers are an intelligent team and seem mentally strong. Plays like Pasta tonight cost you games and in the playoffs, they cost you series. I don’t see Rangers doing dumb crap like this when games matter.

Takeaways: We survived the back-to-back! Miller returns! Very tight game. The D showed up for Shesty. Blocking those shots. Lindy is a warrior. Vinny is da man! Shesty was solid. I’m hoping his confidence is back with this one. We fought for this one. And now on to Toronto for some payback. We need a win after the Tuesday loss. Hoping the team gets rested and healed up. See ya Tuesday! LGR!

  4. Pigmansweet

The city of Boston smells like a dirty old wet dog.

  5. duckets615

To Toronto! We’re gonna steamroll them and slap that 70’s porn star mustache right off of Mathew’s face.

  6. berkeleybikedude

    Capocollo, Gabagool, mamamia, Vinny 🤌🏼

Holy fuck I’m so happy we won. I’m in Florida spending time with the grandparents, but I was able to check in on the game thread after the second after hearing about something happening with trashanak.

Will watch YouTube highlights later but nice dub my bros and happy holidays to yall

Lived in boston for like 8 years and my best bud force-fed bruins games down my throat so these games are always huge

    Fuck chara

  8. R4vi0981

I really like this game because the Rangers have now beaten Boston at their own game, and also a track meet game. Boston wants these low scoring games, it favors them, and the Rangers still came out on-top. Man, I feel like Endstrom would have been perfect for this game.

  9. Hionhelium87

Will be wearing my Rangers beanie with pride when we’re in Cambridge tomorrow. 🥹

    Be Bruins fan in Boston

Wake up in apartment after falling asleep on the couch.

Watched replay of the Pats Super Bowl win last night.

Game was incredibly boring, but a lot better than one of the Giants reruns.

    “Fack that Eli Manning”

Hear neighbor through the wall “Fackin queeah”

Finish the 3/4 full warm Sam Adams you didn’t quite finish last night.

Might as well keep the party going the Bruins are playing tonight and you got tickets.

Just gotta watch The Departed before leaving.

    “Hows ya motha hahaha”

    Better start heading out.

Throw on Barstool Sports Bruins shirt.

Kiss framed picture of the 2011 Bruins 4th line before leaving.

Meet neighbor outside, also wearing a Barstool Bruins shirt.

    “Wicked choice brudda”

Wait way too long for your transit, something about a fire.

Arrive downtown in a bad mood.

Random homeless guy is kneeling on the street asking for change.

Sucker punch him in the back of the head.

Immediately sprint to the biggest guy in a Bruins jersey you can find and hide behind him.

Biggest guy also starts throwing suckers.

“That’s whatcha get for messing wit tha broons”

    Crowd applauds

Tell big guy that him punching that man was brave, almost as brave as Gregory Campbell blocking shots on the penalty kill with a broken leg in 2013.

    Get inside the garden.

    Warmups are going on.

Marchand is eyeing up the opposing team, deciding who he’ll lick or knee tonight.

    Maybe he’ll do both.

“Guys hate him because he’s elite”

Debrusk suddenly throws his stick and gloves in the air, falls and stays laying down for the next 5 minutes.

Apparently a gentle breeze swept through the ice and caught him in the head.

After the huge injury, luckily Debrusk gets up threatening to fight the air.

    Crowd goes wild.

    “Fackin aih tryna be tough.”

Bruins bring out some sort of army veteran before the national anthem.

Remind person sitting next to you that while the troops are brave, no one is braver than Gregory Campbell blocking shots on the penalty kill with a broken leg in 2013.

    Game starts

Tuuka Rask makes 5 massive saves in a row.

    “Tuuuuuuuuk”

    “Best goalie in dah league”

5 minutes later Rask lets in a goal he had no chance of stopping.

    “Booooo”

    “Thomas woulda had that”

Krug starts an unnecessary scrum in front of the net.

Gets lightly tapped and nearly sends his helmet into orbit.

“Yanno I hate seein guys beat up on the lil guys, pick on someone yah own size”

Chara beheads some 5’9 rookie 3 minutes later.

    “That’s betta”

Some random fan is wearing a PK Subban, or Joel Ward, or Wayne Simmonds, or Seth Jones etc.. jersey.

    Stand up and boo him.

    Section applauds you.

Another fan comes up to you to say that your actions were brave, but nobody is braver than Gregory Campbell blocking shots on the penalty kill with a broken leg in 2013.

    Game isn’t going well.

Eventually the Bruins end up losing the game but only because of the refs.

    score was 6-1

Take transit home, again waiting because of a fire.

    Get home.

Replay of the Red Sox championship is playing.

Might cheer you up on any other day, but too busy focusing on the Bruins loss tonight.

    Somethings off about this team.

    “Gettin pushed around out theah”

Neighbor yells through wall “fuck yah they ah”

Flashbacks of Blues knocking the Bruins around start to come back.

    Get up off the couch.

Walk over to framed picture of the Bruins 2011 4th line.

Wonder where it all went wrong

“I’ll never get over you guys”

  11. NYRangers3061

Nice to see Igor bounce back with a strong performance. Was starting to feel like it was gonna be one of those games where we just couldn’t get the bounces to go our way, but great job by the boys to not quit on this one.

Still, plenty of room for improvement. PP looked rough at times, some poor decision-making and passing overall at 5v5, etc. And I love Kreids, but he’s gotta be smarter on our PP where he took a penalty for holding the stick. Just can’t do it.

On to Toronto, which will be a really tough game and a big test for this team. LGR!

  12. Key-Tip-7521

Fox had a point tonight, McAvoy didn’t. Aargh Aey (RA) and the BarwhStool guys are mad.

  13. Unlikely_Good7733

Looks like the narrative from the Bruins fans and a certain division rival’s fan base who’s team is soft as baby shit is that the refs handed us this one. LOL

First of all that’s bullshit. Second of all, if it wasn’t I still wouldn’t give a shit. We have had enough calls go against us this year. I drink your tears.

  14. cracka_azz_cracka

« Joe, you were great last night in a three way with Dave Maloney »
    – actual quote from Sam Rosen tonight

  15. patkanestinks

Was at the game. Dad and his kid sitting next to me. His kid cried when trochek scored…made it even better.

  16. NotFoley

Some physicality, but a very defensive game overall. Nice to not see Igor face routine odd man rushes for once.

  17. ubmae86

Was really interested in something they talked about in the pre game… fastest Rangers team to 20 wins since the championship season… was an interesting correlation

  18. Key-Tip-7521

Well, believe it or not, I actually did not watch tonight’s episode of Rangers Hockey: *Rat Extermination,* I went to go see the new Wonka film. My brief review of the film, good story, but too much of the musical act. Tbh I’m not really a musical person. But what I do know is, that the Rangers version of Pest Control came in the name of Vincent Trocheck. Our guy scored. I saw the PPG goal, Vincent Trocheck, IT’S A POWER PLAY GOAL!, annnnnd I did see the highlight of the sick GWG in OOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE! What a pass from Bread.

So, this what I ask. Someone give me a recap of how the team played from each period? I know I give my recap but like I said, I was out.

But all I know is, Rangers Win! I said this game was huge, and boy did the good guys showed up. Finding ways to win! That’s what this team does. 2 Days off. and Onto the Leafs

Rangers Oppie filled in for me and he said one thing; « take in the sheets. Two points in the bag. »

    Huge win! Onto the Leafs

(In a Lawn Eye Land accent) From, Your cousin from New York

God Save the King. Back afta dis.

  19. Fancy-Investigator86

I’ve always liked trocheck and what he brings to the table. Seems like I’ve seen a lot of comments in the past stating he is overpaid for what he is, bad contract etc. still feeling that way?

  20. wrecksphord

Jack Edwards is the worst nhl announcer of all time. Full stop.

  21. Quintuplespeak

I was in Boston to see my first Red Sox game and the Rangers preseason game was that same night. A boy and his dad were wearing Rangers gear and I wished them good luck. Rangers got trounced. I hope that father and son made it to this game also to watch them win when it counts.

  22. crash1082

    First game I haven’t watched all season….

  23. Kaapo-Taco

Doesn’t matter how you win. 2 points against a top team is huge

  24. jthomas694

Igor needed that. Back to being top record in the league in terms of Points Percentage

  25. TJN0519

watching the game recap now and the bruins announcers literally sound drunk. solid game and solid win for NY.

  26. Crimson3312

Always rough being the one ranger fan from Boston in here. It’s a quaint little town, I swear!

  27. scottishwhisky2

Lindgren put himself in a vulnerable position and I don’t really think it was the most vicious hit but Pasta so I get people being annoyed by 5 and a game but that was such a reckless and stupid play by him that you can’t defend it. There’s just no justification for why he hit him like that at all.

  28. SPammingisGood

stupid sexy Trocheck. I love this man

  29. lykes_2_fly

Wasn’t able to get MSG feed so I had to watch game on NESN. Man are they terrible.

  30. joltingjoey

So fucking pissed off—one of best games of season was blacked out in New England where I live!

  31. njerejeje

It worked out for us this game but the NHL has really gotta do something about taking the puck out of the zone intentionally on 3v3 overtime. Idk what the exact fix is but they’ve got to make 3v3 OT more exciting.

  32. WiFi_Sniper

Poor Lindgren , that guy keeps taking some big hits and dirty hits .

  33. Ketachloride

I love that it’s still debatable whether « shesty is back » because our defense minimized his chances to stand on his head

  34. whoslaffingnow

I just can’t stand Boston and their fans. which sport? doesn’t matter. this is a group of jabronis who never hold their team, their players, or themselves accountable for anything. It’s always everyone else’s fault when they fall short. * »They got lucky, the refs bailed them out, they’re on a hot streak, we deserved to win, our team has never committed a penalty/foul in the history of sports, why does everything bad happen to us. »*

When we were absolutely rolling, coming off that 9-0-1 stretch, and the national media finally started talking about us, i saw bruins fan talking about how none of this mattered and we’d be one and done in the playoffs *just like last year.* I’m like, okay facts that did happen to us last year… but look in the mirror! No self awareness from that group.

My non-rangers related hope for playoff seeding is for the Leafs to beat the Bruins in the first round. That would be * * chef’s kiss * * [ insert hi res photo trocheck family chicken parm ]

  35. JoelsCaddy

Bruins fans boo Trochek for skating the puck out of the zone

Trochek: “and I took that personally”

  36. Djbearjew

This was the first game I actually got to watch this season. (don’t have cable and live on the west coast) thank you MSG+ overlords

  37. Chet-Harper

Watching highlights from the Boston feed, is Jack Edwards ok? He sounds terrible.

Also my god the NESN color guy bitches about the refs even more than Edwards does

  38. broadmeadowbk

Eat shit, Boston. Seriously. Fuck you.

  39. randomuser22812

Pasta has had a weird vendetta against Lindgren since Lindy hit him last season. This is twice now Pasta has hurt Lindgren. Last time he was out a while, but luckily he seems okay this time around. They should just scrap next game so they can end this without injuries but Pasta obviously won’t because he a dirty coward.

  40. SportingWallaby

I hope somebody lights pastrnak up next time they play. what a dick.
