If the Oilers do nothing about a goalie now this season is over.
No, the Oilers wouldn't be 2nd in the division with either of those goalies because Boston has a competent defense, we don't. We'd be a little better, but not that much.
And there are at least a dozen teams ready to start bidding on Swayman the second he goes on the market so the price for us to acquire him; if it is him we're after, would be astronomical…. especially if the deal was to include the taking back of that 200 lb decaying albatross carcass in pads and a mask known as Jack Campbell.
A goalie alone won't help the Oilers. No goalie would put up good numbers with the Oilers. That team doesn't help out their goalie. They have no defense in their game. A goalie is only as good as their team. Also any player that has any say where they get traded would never accept the Oilers. Who would choose to destroy their career??
