À quel point est-ce bon : Vegas Golden Knights

Ils ont réussi à remporter leur division dès la première année. Que peuvent-ils faire pour surpasser ou égaler cela la saison à venir ? 1. Colin miller was far and away the best “third line” dman last season in the league. Also if Theodore plays the full season this team will have another very good year

  2. The original reason I had cheered for the Golden Knights was because of the “Pittsburgh Flavor” they had. I was excited about their roster but I hadn’t expected them to do well, so needless to say I was ecstatic when they looked good out of the gate and continued to play good throughout the season and playoffs. Although the VGK have lost some of the mentioned “Pittsburgh Flavor” (Neal and Perron) they have however kept most of it in Fleury, Engelland and Reaves. Once again this year I’ll be rooting for the VGK, and to be honest, I think the VGK may have won me over as a fan for the rest of my life.

  3. I personally think Vegas will come even hungrier now that they tasted the success and almost had it all.

  4. Along with most other people, I think they'll fall back down to Earth a bit. I agree with you on Karlsson scoring 30, maybe 35 goals this upcoming season, but I wouldn't exactly count him out to repeat his goal totals from this post season. I think the loss of Neal and Perron sting a bit for this team, but Stastny partially makes up for it. I think it'll be interesting to see what they do this upcoming season. In my opinion, I think pressure is going to play a huge role in their success. This past season, they had no pressure at all to do anything in the regular season, or even make the postseason at all, but they defied the odds. Look at what the Capitals did this past season. After years of high expectations and pressure with loads of talent up front, they lose some solid players to free agency or trade and everyone believes they're on a downturn, taking off all the pressure. Of course, you know the rest of the story. Seeing how much of an impact pressure had on a team such as Washington, which was a living postseason meme for many years, it will definitely be interesting to see how Vegas reacts to these elevated expectations and greater pressure. This will be an interesting season for Vegas for sure.

  5. I think VGK will make the playoffs, and if Fleury can hold the fort, they will be a contender again. A hot goalie of Fleury's calibre can carry a team a long way.

  6. I don't know where this Fleury injury concern comes from. Throughout his tenure, his fitness has been superb, and concussions aren't really fitness related and they are super unpredictable. Look at young goalies like Murray and Subban and compare their injury list to Fleury

  7. I think that second line is gonna be better than advertised, especially if Tuch has the year I think he does.

  8. Glad you did put up Dansk on the board. He will be fantastic again. He had an impressive 946 save percentage before he got injured. I think that he will be even better this season now that he got used to the smaller rinks.

  10. Erik Brännström played paired with Rasmus Dahlin at the world juniors. He was excellent. People only talk about Rasmus on that teams back end but Erik Brannstrom was fantastic. (Liljegren looked great together with Rasmus too btw.)

Give him a shot on power-play lets say .. and see what happens.

  11. Karlsson is going to be one hit wonder just like Cheecho in 05-06 well see. And also i dont think stastny is gona be as good as he was in jets, he had better player around him. So my prediction is NO PLAYOFFS !

  12. I don't get people complaining over Vegas having a team that good last year. EVERYONE thought that roster was mediocre heading into the season. EVERYONE thought they would be a bad team. Almost all their star players last year was Bottom-6 forwards and 3rd pairing defensemen on their previous teams. No one could see all of them improving into legit star players. Not even George McPhee himself (who could?). His plan during the expansion draft didn't even work (and that's a great thing obviously). I'm convinced his plan was to be a bad team. Collecting assets and getting high lottery picks in the upcoming drafts was his plan because that was the only reasonable plan to have

  13. I believe our Knights will make the playoffs, but they'll finish 2nd behind San Jose in the Pacific. However…….Tatar has to step up, and be that guy who can give the Knights 20+ goals, if we expect to stay in the hunt against the Sharks. Tatar looked like his heart had been ripped from his chest after losing Game 5 in the Finals, so I'm expecting to see a vengeful and focused Tatar next season! If he has a breakout year, VGK could finish first in the Pacific again. Karlsson has another chip on his shoulder to prove he's a franchise superstar. I have confidence he'll score at least 30 goals next season. Our blue line will continue to work hard, and make names for themselves. They have no choice. The league will be gunning for them. Carrier and Reaves as the muscle will make VGK respectable, but Reaves has to stay out of the box as much as possible. Sometimes it's a bit too much, and it changes the dynamic of the VGK game, by taking himself out of the play with hits that are too strong. As for Fleury and the coaching of Gallant, I have no worries in that department. This is going to be an interesting season! GO KNIGHTS GO!
