  1. It baffles me how the GM has not traded for an NHL Calibre goalie. These little win streaks do not solve the problem… What an absolute disaster. GM needs to stop with the excuses and make something happen.

  2. Holland has done a good job of adding guys like Kane and Hyman to our forward lines, and Ekholm on defense. But when it comes to goaltending he's dropped the ball. Neither Campbell or Skinner are what this team needs. He has to bite the bullet and trade for a legit #1 goalie or it's another wasted season.

  3. I've never seen a team work harder and accomplish less. They make every goalie look like Martin Brodeur in his prime.

  4. Another long and not satisfying night for me in Germany to support my team. 1st Period looked lije they spoke about being a team on ice, out of this came the goal from Leon as a result of good passing out of the own zone. But what you alsocould see that most of the players thought that they could win without any contact to their opponent!? sothe Islanders start playing withj the Oilers and so they shot also a lot of our goal too. Skinner was better than last time. In the second period you can see the frustration of bad passing, and badder shooting in oilers faces. During another penalty we got the equalizer and that was the great break in our game. Everyone seems to be the one who will score get the win done, but most of the tries arent really good. so we got in our powerplay a goal against us, and in this goalyou could see all the faults they have to take care for. No look pass to the blue line, but nobody there, the passer didnt move backwards the other wing tried to do it with one defender. so Islanders had a 2 on 1 situation, and instaed of letting the one who had the puck the shoot, so that Skinner could fixhim and find a good position our defender looses the position between the both and got outpassed, result goal via direct shoot, no chance for skinner! And this was the story of the game, after the second period Islander had 24 blocks and 19 checks, Oilers only 6 and 6 !!! sexond fact yyou could see was, that the hole team collapses after getting the third goal, trying to do figureskating and alibi shots. only one good defense action from Ekholm and a good check from Kane, rest is silence… . from my point of view they have to train playing resolut and tough against the opponent striker, man on man, protecting the slot, helping their teammates without any compromise, dont move out of the slot in the corner with both defense men, this is a schoolboy fault, check the opponents out of the room in front of the goal and use your body to block shots too. help your doalie damned!!! and ceck them, hard and with power behind the goal, dont be figure skater. Play simple, not over the mass complicated, you wont get an oscar! and dont do frustration fouls, if you be frustrated check them hard, move your action to the end , man! Never give up, never! Be tough and strong if you are checked, be a killer and shout "yeeha" if you check them as hard as you can!!! thats the way it goes! Come on guys, your not clowns or posing for the sports illustrated in swimsuits!!! thx Patrick for the new infos, sorrx for my hard words but perhaps they will wake them up. cheers from dark and early (5am) Germany

  5. On the Isles first goal he was standing behind Nurse and Ceci. This happens all the time where they lose guys or our forwards are still not skating hard back to our end and we get scored on off the rush. They’ve looked terrible last two games and the 1st and 3rd periods vs TB were not good. Yeah lots of shots, but not too many grade A. 8 in a row was just a smoke screen trying to hide our poor play. The smoke has cleared and we seem to be exposed again.

Why Broberg? Why not Niemelainen? I guess we just need to give up on the one that we don’t think will be good, ever.

  6. I love the genuine disappointment in your voice 😂 a hard watch forsure but we just gotta pray for the devils game

  7. Ya wait until there out if it too make a move lmfao great idea! 😂 if they wait until feb its too damn late

  8. Wow so trade away a first-round pick plus broberg which was another first round pick to get rid of the goalie that we chose to sign long term…. Worsr managed team in NHL and Connor will never win a cup here

  9. Oilers have totally reverted back to the way they played to go 5-12.
Tell me how a team can win 8 straight, some against very GOOD teams, and then do a 180 back to the lazy, inept, mistake-ridden team that started the season?
Anyone who thinks this team will make the playoffs is just dreaming.

  10. Wouldn’t watch my Coilers, realistically knowing they’d likely serve up another stinker…listened to some of the 1st, but when they gave up a shorty on the powerplay, I was done. 3️⃣ of the Isle’s starting D outta the lineup, too. I won’t waste my time listening to the fanboys juvenile drivel.

3️⃣1️⃣ shots on goal & ONLY 1️⃣ to show…let’s blame BOTH goalies, again⁉️

🚨 The dream's over kids, both Leon & Connor will want outta this pathetic Gong Show‼️

    What a j😴ke 👎🏻

  11. Should call up Rodrigue and give him a go Thursday night. Or maybe see how Pickard does vs NJ then call up Rodrigue afterwards.

  12. Maybe the Oilers can set a record for the most losses outshooting the opposition and set a record for the most losses with 40+ shots in a game (they only had 31 tonight).

  13. Terrible two's for the Oilers once again. Bottom five in the second period league wide. Can't have three minutes on the PP, one being five on three, and go -1 for that stretch. I'll still take an 8-3-0 stretch though. Many games in short time, easy to put this one in the rear view!

Oilers score first and score early in the first period. Draisaitl from Foegele and Ekholm. That was ALL of the Oilers scoring. They had 4 PP opportunities (including a 2 man advantage for nearly a minute) and couldn't put it in the twine. The reverse was NOT true for the Islanders. Two Power Play goals AND a shortie were all the goals in the 2nd period (with nothing in the third). My comments are not suitable for adults let alone children so I'm not going to write them down. Statistically the Oilers got OWNED in shot blocks and Hits. The PK couldn't keep out 1/2 of the opportunities the Islanders got and the PP couldn't score. Nuge made a bad pass that led to the shortie, I mean Nuge who does this about as often as the second coming. The Oilers continue to shoot more against their opponents just not getting them in. Sorokin had a really good game and justifiably got the first star. Take care all.

  15. Oh my god all these trade rumours I’m done are they ever going to make a dam trade.

  16. when mgt lets the #1 Goalie return after he shores up the Bako franchise, all should be good, he has $25mil from fans and is anxious to pay all back. but likely the issue is not being goalied…. more that too many guys that don't have skill to finish… rely on McD to set them up…

  17. most likely team will slip from 1 game above .500 to drop next 2 & finish yr 4 below .500. That will give us a clear goal for 2024 to move back up to .500, so that should help our focus. I see Broberg now has 3 yrs experience so most teams will like to add him for a Cup run – so I'd expect a 20 goal scorer. As for JC, may be too soon to trade as he is likely about to get onto a hot streak, then will have a lot of value
