That was one of the best hockey games I have ever watched!
Fleury is my favorite active player in the league. And watching him turn in probably the best goalie performance I’ve seen in the last 5+ years made this entire year worthwhile.
Also best game I’ve seen in a long, long time. Just an absolute thriller from beginning to end. The storylines, the action, the goaltending on both sides, the physicality, and an OT that actually wasn’t an absolute snooze fest.
Oh, and a big win!
If anyone is on the fence about whether to watch hockey, show them this game. Should make an instant fan of anyone.
Pretty sure Faber won 800 puck battles tonight! Number might be off just a bit but that dude was everywhere in this game. I’d say it was a helluva performance but it’s becoming a normal occurrence for him

I only got to listen on the radio at work but I know this game will be on the next Beyond Our Ice. Highlights looked nice 😎 Beating a healthy Boston team that is tops of their division and the league on the wrong end of a back to back while a few of our most dependable and talented players are beaten up is impressive. Fleury was great but I wouldn't say Boston got goalied. We made them work hard for a couple of them and beat the unit on ice as a whole. This energy needs to keep up when the studs are in the lineup.
I wanna give a short special mention to Jake Middleton. He has been the unsung backbone of this defense and has really been showing out. I know his +/- isn't spicy but he has been locked in and putting it all on the line. Still an OG Faber supporter of course (since we acquired him).

You should definitely continue to incorporate western conference wild card run standings into these videos. It’s great to track how we are picking up points as they loose games. Definitely nice to see us make up those points when teams like Nashville loose. I’m starting to think Winnipeg might be legitimately, the real deal. They may be a lock if they continue to play like they have been beating Colorado twice and LA in the last week or so. And they have the top tier goaltending that can get it done. But I see Nashville being the team down the stretch we are going to have to be better than.

Hartman is also playing better, i believe
Putting Hartman on the fourth line, was hard for him , to understand,ego gets in the way sometimes, and yes kaprizov is back, he's not a hundred percent yet but close, you can tell by the way he uses the edges in skating, with kaprizov
Back this team is showing there depth
When the Wild are healthy, they are going to be hard to beat,
What comes out of this, we get to see the kids, Hunt Vinnie Mermis have shown they belong, Billy has to man up
And trade or buy out Merrill kosky,
I can't think of a better game for fleur
Vinnie on the fourth line really makes
That line click, there just dangerous

Boy, I don’t know what it is about helmets being off players heads and no penalties being called for our clubs. Vikings against KC, now Boston last night. It’s still going to be bumpy until 25/36/46 get back into the fold. 29, going back to his Pittsburgh days with that performance. I cannot believe the cat like reflexes these goalies have at the level, absolutely ridiculous. Another weird observation, are we the only club that repeatedly breaks sticks during our PK. Bostons ties it on a 6 on 3 basically, no lumber for Dewar. Couple that with EK / centers losing draws ( Wild are last in the league at 43%) as this was mentioned last night. It’s a big deal on odd man situations.
