  1. Hey guys. Enjoy the content, but the logic on Timmons is way off. Unless you know something about Tre's talent eval that factors in something other than scoring goals, winning games and possessing the puck. Suggesting the ship has sailed on the Timmons experiment because he got beat to the outside a couple times is crazy.

Not saying I don't like Borgen, but for context… Timmons has 6 pts in 12 games(really 6 in his last 9) after coming back from a fairly significant layoff to start the year and is +8 over 12gms. He's only been a (-) once in his 12 games, none in almost a month, and his shot/goal share is impressively dominant. After leading the team in the preseason in scoring, I don't see alot of negative at all. It's also not a coincidence that since his return the team has been putting up something like 800 pts%. It's a short sample size of course but the sample supports an increased role long before it supports some sort of demotion, trade, or losing a roster spot.

Opinion pieces are great but the #s don't support the assertion on this one

  2. Timmins has 6 points in 12 games and is a +8. He is. Right side guy with offensive upside. He is only $1.1mil this year and next. Bergen is $2.7 this and next and then UFA. I agree he may not be quite there but you cannot always play with 18 skaters fully developed. We need to work guys like Timmins into he lineup to help with salary configuration.
