I’ll take 3/4
Nuts call to decide the game.
I’ll take the point and on to the next one.
Puck luck was not in our favor
Plenty of dings on the crossbar
Overtime penalties are the worst. 4-3 feels too easy
Thats a heavy leg loss. Happy with the point.
premature post gameulation?
You need your goalie to make that save on a 4-3. You let that shot happen every time.
Fucking Svechnikov all over again
We can legit lose 20 ot games lmao
Sucha bad call in OT. Whatever though!
varlamov was basically sitting in his net on stromes shot anyway no idea why he’s that deep
All your OTLs are ours
Pageau was fucking awful in that OT. Horrendous turnover, then leaves Dobson out to dry on his change. Not good!!
Honestly not even mad 3/4 after playing mostly like shit i’ll take
Frustrating way to lose but good to come away with a point given how poorly we played most of the game. Next game with fresh legs they’ll have to be better
Some of the sloppiest changes I have seen in as long as I can remember from this team tonight. My view is maintained that mediocre coaching is holding them back from being absolutely dominant this season.
Happy for the losers on twitter who think the islanders stink because they have 9 OTLs, they needed this one. Me on the other hand will happily take 3/4 points in a b2b.
I’ll take the 3 out of 4 pts.
That said, that was a terrible OT. A very lazy giveaway by Pageau and a dumb penalty by Dobson. You could tell they were exhausted by the end of the 3rd
3/4 points on a back to back and we played a rested team after traveling last night. I’ll gladly take it, we move
WSH 2
NYI 2

Hey it’s a point on a back-to-back with travel, the only takeaway I have from this game is Wahlstrom is not very good
That’s a lame way to lose a game. Oh well a point on the road in DC is great. On to Raleigh! Better bring their A game Saturday. The Canes always seem to have their feet moving and pucks flying at the net.
A few thoughts on this game. We need to give credit to Lou , yeah I know, but how many teams can lose 3 primary defenseman and still be good. Not too sure why our first periods suck. We need to bring in a penalty killer as ours don’t work. It’s nice to see the Captain is back. The bench doesn’t function correctly , I don’t know if that’s on Lambert or players, but bench minors Pageau being called off ice. Varly played another solid game but not sure what he was doing on the PK, could he get deeper in the net. Outside the first period they played well, Pageau, Horvat, Barzal and Nelson all had high quality chances. Need to finish strong bs Carolina

Varley was deep in net on the winning goal but he kept us in the game through first two periods. Trip call was legit. Pageau caused the Dobson trip. Glad we got the point. When we get healthy on defense we will only get better.

Fuck… And I can not stress this enough… Tom Wilson
Absolutely no disrespect to Bortuzzo, he’s been doing his job well, but it really shows how depleted the isles have been that he has to be the one out on 4 on 3.
A point is a point, food comeback to earn it
Caught the game in person tonight. It was clear we did not have our A-game. Slow out of the gate and just unable to play smart for two periods. The third was a good showing, but I’m happy taking a point when I felt we could’ve given up 4
I keep forgetting we are missing our top defenseman and still stealing points
