  1. If the Oilers had an RD like Ekholm then Broberg would be fine here, much like Bouchard is better with Ekholm. The issue is that for Broberg to play with a veteran here he needs to play on his offwing and he's struggled making backhand plays on the wall. Oilers management is so inept that they were seriously projecting Broberg to play RD with Nurse on the top pairing this year so they could dump Ceci to free up salary space.

  2. Attaching a failing prospect to a failed goalie that will crippled a team's cap 5 years? Yeah, dream on Kenny boy.

  3. Blah, blah, blah… Campbell sucks, I want likes… click here. How about you say something constructive? Stop showing up in my feed. I don't need your click bait.

  4. If I were the Oilers GM and someone said they'd take Campbell and his contract if I threw in Broberg and Bourgault with nothing coming back, I'd take it. It wouldn't go down like that but if it did, I'd do it.

Bourgault is good but not proven and it would be worth losing him in my opinion, just to see the back of both of the two others. It would be just like getting to un-make two mistakes for very little cost and at the same time, freeing up all that cap space…. and as I've said before – cap space IS a legitimate return on any trade. It's like getting a gift card – you can go and spend it on whatever you need.

Quite the situation you've gotten us into isn't it, Mr Holland. If you were ever concerned about your legacy, you damned well should be because this one will be talked about for decades!

  5. Campbell should retire out of respect for the team. Cancel the contract. Dude is awful and never has been very good. Thank Holland for that. Stupid. I d i o t.

  6. $5 Million for the next 3 years is the "worst contract?2…Your Canucks had OEL for $10 MILLION and managed to move that boat anchor. Have faith…Other team's have contract's they would like to get out of…THAT will be the more likely deal. Not necessarily getting a goalie back for Campbell, but taking on someone else's D-man or Forward contract that the other team would like to dump…2 team's trading headaches hoping a change of team does the trick….. As far as Broberg, from what we have actually seen from him he has been pretty good….The point is they have never really given him top 4 minutes and shift him no matter how bad his mistakes and give him an entire year with Duncan Keith as his mentor, like they did with Bouchard….Offensively, Bouchard obviously has a bigger upside….Defensively????……I don't think Broberg is quite the stocking stuffer you make him out to be.

  7. HAHA did anyone see the goals that went in? They are almost sure goals everytime! He is not a god.

  8. Getting rid of that contract for just throwing in Broberg would be to good to be true. And I warned against signing him to start with. This was very predictable.

  9. ok people say skinner the main issue and like pickard but we need a defense as well Edmonton dont have neither as well pickard not that good either he lost as well so we need a good guile and also a defense

  10. How does Holland have a job?
Imagine hiring 2 guys like Campell and Brown for the money they make. Both players perform out the gate from day one with struggles.
Name another job or industry where the GM is not fired and the contracts at least challenged in court for some sort of breach.

  11. You're either just trolling with saying "Camp-bull" at this point or you're just physically not capable of not pronouncing silent P's 😂

  12. No one is going to give us a goalie that is any good………trade Leon, he can’t drive his own line or play 5 on 5……a pure PP specialist. He is the only trade option that gives us valuable assets in return.

  13. The Oilers are easy to play against and game-plan. D is still a problem and goaltending too. As soon as teams had a few games to see how Knoblauch coached and made a few adjustments, the Oilers were back to playing like a dog's breakfast.

  14. Don't let this guy distract you from the fact that Isles are still buying out Dipietro $1.5M per season for five more years lol

  15. Cambell needs to stop playing for a couple months hit the gym and work on his movement hes been soooo sluggish since coming to the oilers also i feel like being away from the game will help him mentaly and i mean away like no games played

  16. Ok, Jack Campbell, Xavier Bourgault and 1st round pick (I'd ask for 2 first but that might be greedy) to Montreal and we'll send you Allen. Then Montreal can buy out Campbell. So for a little cap space, you get a prospect and a 1st rounder. With the cap going up, I don't see Mtl having an issue with the cap hit.
