I get that probably lost us the game, but damn if we don’t need more of that kind of energy. Caps were playing on their heels the whole third period. Wilson definitely took a swipe at Elvis before Elvis laid into him. Wilson skating away like a little bitch is the best. I’ll take the L if it means we continue to play like this.

What I am seeing is Elvis trying to push Wilson away to get to his stick, and Wilson punched him first. Not blaming Elvis here and he has been phenomenal tonight.

Elvis was wrong. Could have been a 3 v 2 the other way. Don’t really care as playoffs are lost already

This is a character moment for Elvis. I like it and want more of it

  5. Yeah gotta be honest here I dunno how that’s not offsetting. Also fuck Tom Wilson.

Wilson is such a douche acting like that. Biggest dirt bag in the league, or Marchand, and can’t handle a goalie???

I’m not angry at Elvis but he does owe his team an apology. It was justified it was ultimately was selfish so his teams should get a sorry on those grounds.

I still don’t understand how this isn’t offsetting minors.

Wilson throws the first punch while Elvis is clearly going for his stick.

Should he have wailed on him with the blocker after that? Probably not, definitely earned a roughing with that. But how sitting on a goalies stick and throwing a punch and knocking off a goalie mask isn’t a penalty is beyond me.

Add in whatever that headlock was on Proverov too.

    Just absurd.

NHL refereeing has been actively terrible this year. Like I know it’s always been pretty hit or miss and favored big markets, but this is getting absolutely outlandish and dangerous.

    Fuck Tom Wilson.

Dude has long had it coming after the long list of dirty shit he’s done against us including at least one instance of a player whose career was never the same imo (Wennberg) as the result of a dirty hit from him.
