We have literally turned into the flames of last season under Sutter. They had like the worst record of shots on net and getting no goals, and its because panthers and the flames played a very similar old style. The lack of goals is mostly on Maurice's system mixed with the teams inability to look at where they are sending the puck.
And this night also proves why "oh they just got goalied" is an excuse for poor management. Dude has a sv % of like .870, he is pretty bad and they couldnt even get one past him?
The best coaches know how switch styles, adapt. The goaless games and the putrid power play is giving me hints to what Maurice might be.

Looks like the Zito plan didn’t work out this year.. banking on players to break out but nope.. only OEL and Mikkola are working out
Cant score and now are getting scored on alot. Going to make it easy to not pay guys or let them walk if this keeps up. Plus this not scoring and crummy pp ain't new. Same thing as when Tampa swept them,so it's not Maurice it's the players. Since it's just minor changes with the player they have,they have to be and do better.

Hey Jaws I remember a couple years ago Stu said something about when Coach Q resigned, that was the Cup gone from us. His system would’ve gotten us the Stanley Cup and I do agree with Jets and Hurricanes fans, we’re not winning with Paul Maurice. Last year was the famous saying of Dr. Jakyll & Mr. Hyde. And honestly I may sound crazy (us Panthers fans are all crazy) but I think we might actually miss the playoffs.
This is where, as a panthers fan, you need to start worrying. We’ve been shutout basically 3 times, the entire lineup looks cooked, and no effort has been shown for 5 games. The biggest problem is scoring and Maurice is not going to fix that, and management refuses to call in any rookies to breathe new life into the team.
It’s shameful.
