Claude Julien gets my thumbs up as he allegedly has the inside track for the Coach of the Vancouver Canucks. I don't believe he is the man for the job but he will be slightly better than Travis Green. I don't think Jim Benning has any choice in the matter and must make the move. Too bad as Travis is a good coach but he is at the wrong place at the wrong time. I prefer John Tortorella for the job because it is going to take a strong personality to turn this thing around. It is unfortunate that the last 4 out of 5 games were dominated by the Canucks and they ended up with only 2 points. The real problem in my view is structure and the execution of it. Seems like every mistake they made ended up in the back of the net. The team is fine but they need better structure and for me that means putting way more pressure on the puck carrier and the points. That is old school like me and Don Cherry. The second coming of Torts will be their saviour, lol. Either way Benning goes is going to be better but he needs to get Beagle or equivalent back to bolster the PK. I am not worried about Travis Green, he is a good coach and will coach again in this league, but bad luck and a slight deficiency in structure has cost him his job. He will learn from this and move on to bigger and better things. This is a good team and needs to keep playing hard with determination like they have the last 4 out of 5 and things will turn around for them. Should be interesting come tomorrow.

Thumbs up to the whole team with the good response after the Pittsburgh game. Pearson shouldn't be on PP, he coughs up the puck, which leads to scoring chances like the Nyquist goal.
not sure what pearson is doing on the PP. Pettersson was embarassing to watch tonight. None of the goals were demko's fault but I wish he played unreal tonight, we really needed that for the 2points.

Season is a wash at this point (like it has been for the past 8-9 seasons). Fire green, bring in a new voice. If that doesn’t spark the team, let Benning leave in the summer. If those two don’t work, trade Miller / Boeser / Horvat. Gotta start somewhere. We’ve hit rock bottom
Hopefully Horvat can play well to up his value.
With all due respect Canuck fans, take your blinders off and see the dumpster fire for what it is!! You can never put lipstick on a pig and expect to enter it in a 4H show. The troubles you have are deep seeded in the locker room. Travis Green is a good coach! Move some players, ( Patterson wants out, so oblige him ) the only person who should b protected is Demko, everyone else should be expendable!

At least the game didn't turn into another 1-0 shutout. Or they blew their lead. Team was more scrappy. What was Myers thinking on that first goal called back on the offside? 40 shots directed towards the net….that's an improvement. Petterson still looks like he is fighting the puck, especially at the blue line on the PP. OUCH! painful to watch…a little more effort to prevent the empty net goal would have been nice.
