@Ducks d'Anaheim

On dirait que Carlsson a évité une blessure mettant fin à la saison.

    This is perfect timing too with Christmas break and then all-star break he should only miss about 10-15 games.

    Leason should have hit Weeger harder.

    Phew. Luckily with the calendar year ending and all star break he won’t miss much. Glad it is not as bad as it could have been bc damn it looked like he tore his acl.

    Let’s hope this is true. Best possible outcome based on how it looked.

    Let’s be real, the team is going to be super conservative with this. No need to rush him back.

    4 to 6 weeks is just an estimated guess could be longer. Somewhat good news but likely he’ll miss 2 months MCL injury can lead to surgery.

    Checks out:

    A Grade 2 MCL (medial collateral ligament) tear is more severe than a Grade 1 tear, as it involves a partial tear of the ligament. According to the information available:

    • A Grade 2 MCL tear can take about 4 to 6 weeks to heal .

    This variance in recovery time can be due to the extent of the injury within the “Grade 2” classification, individual healing rates, and the effectiveness of the treatment plan. As with any injury, it’s crucial to follow the guidance of a healthcare professional to ensure proper rehabilitation and to minimize the risk of re-injury.

  9. I said it last night: knees are weird. This reminded me of the Cam hit a few years ago in the playoffs. Everyone assumed he was done because of how his knee moved, but it just ended up being a pretty bad sprain. (Which is a fancy way of saying tear) I’m happy to see it’s a similar situation to that rather than what a lot of us feared.

    I feel like this is a wait-and-see thing. Generally, they like to wait 24 hours before getting scans so swelling goes down and they can get a good look – the more trauma the longer the wait. We’re only just getting to that time point now – obviously, they would have had someone have a look, but I highly doubt any conclusive scans/ reports have been made.

    Just when you thought the team was out of the armored tank division.

    Another top 3 pick incoming. Let’s build a young core that’s gonna be a problem for the next decade plus please.

    With the knee injury at first you can’t bend it, eventually you can little by little, eventually you stop limping, you have forward motion but can’t turn…all of this and you are losing conditioning. Even after you are “good enough” that knee does not feel right. For instance you wouldn’t want to kick a ball because the knee feels vulnerable.
    Everyone is different of course but in my experience taking into account the better therapy a prized NHL player will get that knee is apt to be off until next season.
    Do they play the future is he feels like getting knocked around on skates risks tearing it again? Let’s say February he feels like skating, it would take a couple of weeks for evaluating and conditioning. Season ends April 18. Look at Drysdale and how they sat him all year. I think he is done.
    Plus with 23GP, he is ROY eligible for next year.
