Cette question a véritablement choqué McDavid

McDavid s’est vu poser une question très étrange à propos de Wayne Gretzky. Nous parlerons de tout cela et bien plus encore dans la vidéo de hockey de la LNH d’aujourd’hui.

  1. Eck, I was wondering if you saw yesterday Caps/Bluejackets game ? It ended in such a wild way with Elvis Merzlikins bashing Tom Wilson's head, then Ovi scoring (finally!) and the whole Caps team chirping Elvis (I think you could see Strome screaming "fuck you elvis" on the broadcast). Anyway thought it could interest you if you haven't seen it ! Cheers !

  2. Lemieux will always be the “what if” player due to his absence because of cancer and injuries but the man did have a higher point/game ratio but would have probably began levelling out later if he’d play longer.

  3. Jack Hughes is a great player, maybe one of the top three Hughes brothers, but all three together do not equal one Gretzky. No one comes close.

  4. 8mil for hughes is disgusting and already one of the best contracts in hockey… that's already a steal and im definitely jealous lol

  5. I'm so sick of this "Gretzky was the greatest"….one of the greatest, top five. Greatest scorer?…ok.

  6. I hate the comparison game between modern-day stars vs. old school stars. Half the players in the league were glorified beer leaguers back in Gretzky's day. He was great back then. Don't get me wrong… but put him, in his prime, against the players today and he would struggle to break the first line on even the weakest of nhl teams.

  7. Worked with a guy years ago who played county ball with Gretz and even back then they knew that he had near perfect 20/20 vision as well as an extended field of vision coupled with an idedic memory when it comes to situational awareness. Like he could look at a guy and then look away and know where that person would be 4-5 seconds in the future but it could be applied to everyone on the ice and the puck.

  8. Comparing people to someone who had a similar build or 'toolkit' and similar effectiveness, sure…
but comparing anyone to the greatest ever is just brain-dead.

  9. I like Jack. I live in NJ and I watch the Devils 👹regualrly. Like you say he's fun to watch but there is NO comparison with any of the really great players past or present. Not yet.😀 He's young and still learning his craft. He's not had a 100 point season yet or won much of anything. Jack is also on the small side (5'10") and needs to put on some 15lbs of muscle in the next couple of years. He gets pushed around the ice a little too much for my liking. McDavid is a bigger man (6'1" 195lbs) that is stronger on the puck, noticably faster and frankly more skilled. Gretzky played in a different era with people around him that wouldn't let opposition players have a go at him without getting globbered. Gretzky had the shot and passing ability plus the speed. That's why he's called "the great one". Give Jack a few more years and see how he rounds out.

  10. this is exactly why McDavid is tired of the Edmonton media. Asking beyond stupid questions. Smarten up.
