Another dominant win for the Kings. 1st period wasn’t great, but the next two were classic Kings hockey. Benching Fiala seemed to be the right move after that turnover in the first too, because he came out strong in the second, and made up for his mistake after Spence’s beautiful defensive play created the breakaway chance for Fiala, which he capped off with a brilliant finish.
One player that stood out to me was Dubois. Might’ve been his best game of the season. Lot of smart plays and strong forechecking from him tonight, and he was solid on the defensive side of the puck as well. Need him to build off of that, because when he’s doing what he was doing tonight, that makes the Kings that much more dangerous.
Most importantly, this was another needed win at home. Have to keep improving in that department if they want to win the division.
