Makes sense to me. They’re awesome, but kind of out in BFE. Now there are way easier hockey-catering spots for people in the core of the city to get to. Hope they can figure things out.
This is like the 5th « Help us! We’re having a tough time! » drive they’ve done. It’s a mediocre to bad bar and grill that puts hockey stuff on the wall. Let it die. The arrangement is awful for actually watching hockey, every time I’ve ordered food there it’s taken 45 minutes to come and wasn’t that good, drink selection is « meh ».
I get that, for a long time, it was the only place in the city to watch hockey. But with the Kraken arriving, there are plenty of other better options. I’m really sick of them acting like it’s owed to them because they were the first hockey bar.
maybe being the first isn’t enough anymore when there’s competition out there. You either step up your game or you fall.
As a Canadian, their « Canadian » food missed the mark so many times it was rediculous. Guy is from Toronto and tries to serve up Alberta style ginger beef? it wasnt even remotely close (it is an asian dish similar to General Tsao and he serves it likes beef kabobs on a skewer with maple syrup, im like, What??). Also, had my car broken into there.
Went there with a Canadian girlfriend. They didn’t know what a Caesar was. Haven’t returned since. Much better places to watch hockey if they’re not gonna step up their Canada cred
Cardi B and Bill Cosby walk into a bar… I don’t remember the rest.
I live walking distance and really should make it out there more…it is just either dead on a normal day or way too crowded during Kraken games. Could use a bit of rebranding and updated food/drinks I think.
Every time I’ve passed by they’ve been packed. Makes me wonder if they’re not making money w/ a full house then how are they gonna make money.
Beth’s had the same issue. Prices were high, it was always packed, and something didn’t add up at the end.
