  1. Ill admit I dont get it anymore or understand where this teams direction is going, Goalies aside, the markets been crap for the past 2 years but ah guy who's preaching about developing are own talent, really likes signing old past there prime players like Holland without the 8 year deals, like why is Berg and Simon getting moved up and down, makes 0 sense

  2. I'm not ready to question Steve's overall plan but I have not been a fan of Chairot or even necessarily Gost this year. Chairot is a defensive liability that takes more than a few bad penalties, and while Gost is showing up on the offensive side of the puck, that offense seems to be leading to a lot of breakaways going the other way, which just cannot happen. You can't give up several breakaways per game because of poor shot selection or lazy passing.

  3. theirs no such thing as the yzerpan and their never was😂

yzerman doesn't know what he's doing,, his free agent signings and drafting is terrible lol

  4. Next year is when well see 2-3 prospects starting. I think he want them to have a full yr in the AHL

  5. We just don't have any elite talent on offense and only Mo on D. SY adding Petry and Holl after we already had a huge liability in Chariot made ZERO sense. Adding another Dman in Gost.. when he just resigned Walman and Matta..blocking the path for our young guys, who would probably be playing better than what we've got going on right now. The way he's handled the D overall the last 2 years has been very puzzling. Adding JT and Copp also made no sense. Also we had Jesper Walls fall into our laps and Im still mad SY took Cossa who looks terrible. But our biggest problem is we've been screwed at the draft. Not picking high enough for elite talent really hurt us. Thats why I was really unhappy with SY adding so much middling talent when we should have been playing the kids and tanking for a lottery pick the last 3 years. Yeah we got screwed by the lottery and missed out on Stutzle by 1 pick but if we property tanked last year we could have had Michkov who we missed by 2 spots!

  6. Lol like Cmon… Edvinsson is like 21 not 25 uh ? Fans dont need too much to doubt that's laughable honestly Edvinsson is just getting better and better he mature his game in GR and about Berggren I understand the frustration but these youngsters need the vets to teach them the mental aspect of the life in the NHL just give me one vet winger who's locked long term with the Wings ? There's not so why all this drama for nothing.. Lego you're a nice guy but There's not a single point to deal with that and it's not the 1st time I see these type of things on your channel that's too bad and overshadowed the great ones unfortunatly

  7. How does Edvinsson supercede Seider! I don't get it in any context. If he was a Seider, there is no way he gets sent down. Unless you're trying to lose. Can someone explain? Seider was full time NHL all year in draft plus 3.

  8. If we would play ED he’d already be our third or fourth best Dman and probably get 18-22 pts in a full year on the second and third pair

  9. Wings don’t have no crazy first line forward but one of these sleeper picks are going to be that mark my words either Lombardi that Russian can’t remember atm are gonna be the first line prospect danielsons been underrated I think he’s easily a #2 center on a great team eventually, and kasper is not as bad as everyone thinks for some reason, our defense and goalie prospects are stacked

  10. The only thing restricting the prospects' development and transition to the NHL is themselves. If they are good enough to overtake a veteran NHL player then they will. Would the coaches and GM actually hold down a player that is better than someone in the big club? And if so, for what reason? Vengeance? The last laugh? Egotism? Very doubtful. Edvinsson has been called out by the coach this year as well as last year of playing too lackadaisically. I noticed it myself during his very first training camp. I thought to myself 'Man, Edvinsson appears slow and out of shape'. It is starting to appear as if Edvinsson's work ethic is similar to that of Anthony Mantha and Dennis Cholowski. If he doesn't start showing more agression and jump he will be short lived in this organization. And that would be a sad crying shame. But it just may turn out to be the case. As far as the team's play this year, they should be better than they are. The head coach is too soft first and foremost. He lost control of the team when Patrick Kane came aboard. The other players have too much respect for Kane and they sit back and give Kane the reigns. Kane can't do it all. But his teammates are making it so he has to do it all. They began the season as a bunch of equal weight players banding together to get the job done as a team. Now the team plays like Patrick Kane and the Little Men. The coach can't stop it. His 'system' is not a defensive system in any way shape or form. The Wings cannot limit another team to 25 shots or less. They've even proven that the less shots against they allow, the less goals they score themselves. It's a mess. The biggest thing I'm regretful of is Yzerman's choice of coach. This guy is barely above Blashill. Second I'm regretful of his choice of Cossa. Hopefully Trey Augustine works his way up in the next couple years. Third regret is Edvinsson.I really hope that he pans out. But it's not looking real optimistic at this point. He has enough talent to thrive in the AHL, but in the NHL it takes talent plus work ethic to thrive. Mantha, Cholowski, Vrana are examples of bundles of talent with little work ethic. Hopefully we miss the playoffs and become sellers again. This team is quite a ways away from being elite again. Lalonde needs to put his big boy pants on and get control of this team soon. The great Scotty Bowman would shock everyone and bench Kane saying that he suffers from a torn toenail.

  11. I would not rule out a LHD being drafted for their1st in the 2024 draft as it seems Detroit inching into a BPA mode again.
Scoring is a much bigger need for the prospects but judging by SY's second round for 2023 he is searching for 2 top D pairings.
LHD's within Detroit's drafting area include:
Zeev Buium is the younger brother to Shai Buium
    Matvei Shuravin
    Alfons Freij
    Aron Kiviharju
RHD? maybe as there are 3 also available in the same area for drafting

  12. You know what this tells me? At the end of the day, all these players are drafted and all the hype about them is all for not. Their human like everyone else. Maybe because edvidson bergerataan, solderblum and Kasper may not be so good. It's all a crap shoot. I will say this, not getting a top 3 pick all those years missing the playoffs hasn't helped and I give yzerman props for being pro active at least he is trying.

  13. I think the word to describe this situation is "Stuck". You want Edvidsson on the team? You want to improve the blue line? Who goes? We're stuck with Chirot, Holl, Petry. Those contracts are never getting shipped. Seider/Walman aren't the problem, so that leaves Ghost or Maatta. Sure, we could live without Maatta, but does anyone want to ship out Ghost? Does Edvidsson replace what Ghost provides? Nope.. Same up front. We're stuck with Copp, Perron, and Compher. Those contracts are going nowhere, and the wingers are doing fine, so where does Soderblom, Berggeren, or any other prospect fit? Yzerman saddled the team with contracts he can never move, so there's no choice but to ride it out, change coaching, or make small tweaks here and there. We're stuck..

  14. It's going fine. There's a lot going on. If they make a buy at the deadline they can hold onto some picks. They wanna give our next wave guys top minutes. They increased competition and wanna stick to devolopment. If they thought someone earned a spot i imagine they'd be up. As far as Ed, with more details and more weight he's gonna be a force.

  15. I know that the last month with all of the losing has been painful to watch, but we still are in contention to make the playoffs this year. If the team turns things around and gets back into playoff position, I bet that a lot of these complaints will go away.

If we don't turn it around quickly, then we won't be in contention for a playoff position for much longer. In that case, look for Yzerman to trade away the pending unrestricted free agents for draft picks, and call up prospects to replace them for the remainder of this season.

  16. Edvinsson is better than half of our D-men, the only reason he got sent down is because he didn't have to clear waivers. Keeping Edvinsson in GR isn't doing him any good. I'd rather have him in Detroit even if he makes mistakes then have him in the AHL and have the veterans making mistakes. The problem is Yzerman signed to many third pairing D-men.
