Despite the score, the offense coming right out dangerous in the first was huge, and then to cement rather than let a team back into it in the third… that's what I want to see
I really don't wanna see people complain about Merk getting shortchanged near the end. Yes, it's kinda annoying when we have a young guy only play a handful of minutes in his first gig in the show, but he's gonna be there tomorrow as well. We're gonna have plenty of time to see this kid shine and for his face to convey zero emotion when he scores his first

great game by the B's. Thought Merk was pretty good…not exciting, but it seemed he was playing very cautious trying not to make a mistake. Would like to see him take a few more chances offensively. Look forward to seeing more of him as he figures his game out.
DeBrusk had his "keep me in the lineup" game tonight. Fine, usually when that happens he goes on a 2-3 game streak where you say "oh yeah, he was a 1st round talent… i guess." Go B's! Some real winnable games coming up. Detroit is the "team" this year thats been giving Boston trouble this season, but theres always one every year. However, the next 3 games are points you don't want to be circling in the schedule come March. Cheers man!

Glad to hear the boys played well tonight. Shattenkirk continues to rebound and to go back to his early December form which I love to see. Merkulov seemed to play a good 3rd line C, nothing on the score sheet sadly but good to hear he did well in his first NHL game. Wish I got to watch the game but my health obviously takes precedent right now. Can't wait for the next game and to hopefully see for myself how the boys are playing. Go B's? GO B'SSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
I’m glad that Mac is going to be okay, that tumble into the net in the third looked really bad and he looked really hurt, I was expecting 3-4 weeks out best case scenario. Anyway I hope that Merkulov will stick around because imagine him on a line with Poitras when he’s back from Sweden
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Chuckie didn't NEED to make that diving play. Lohrei had already broken up the pass, it was either going slowly to Ullmark or going wide into the corner. I understand wanting to get back to stop the 2-on-1 but don't put yourself (or your goalie) in such a vulnerable position. Half of Chuckie's injuries have come crashing into the boards or his goaltenders because he dives into them on the back check. It's an unfortunately prominent part of his game and it's becoming a concerning trend.

Great win, more satisfying than the one vs. Buffalo. 2 things: 1. I don't agree with your critique of the captain's overpassing – his passing game seemed to be on fire tonight, and if it leads to goals, I'm good. Love to have a Magic Johnson on the team. But I agree that sometimes he passes in situations where he's not increasing our scoring chances. Then I'm with you. 2. In a weird way, I'm sort of "glad" we had the slump. Every team's going to go through it, and if last year in any indication, we need those to toughen us up.

since merk got called up, Lysell has 5 points in 2 games and a fight. i have not looked up the fight yet but it was a mess on the score sheet. hope FL keeps the fire lit.
