No excuse to play this level of lazy hockey

  2. Horvat throwing a fit at the end is promising. he doesnt quit, and i like that. actually looks like a player who cares.

Matt Martin should not be playing. Dude is a withering Pylon who can’t forecheck or backcheck and plays 7 min a night. Scratching Engvall over him when Fasching is already in the lineup is inexcusably goofy.

Giving one of your biggest rivals (who isn’t even good) glorified shooting practice twice in five days is wild. Lambert’s gotta go. This is ridiculous.

Not winning this game against this shit team may find us out of a playoff spot with our terribly hard schedule and travel coming up. Boys are going to have to step up against the Avs in spite of lane

I’ll preface this by saying that I’m in no way a Lambert apologist, but I’m having a hard time appropriating the blame to him. When your top defensive unit that eats over 20 minutes a game for you is out-chanced 11 to 30 and gets outscored while the opposing goalie plays like a minor deity, you’re likely going to lose the hockey game. It’s a bad loss where Romanov and Dobson played poorly. These are guys that haven’t played like this all season and should rebound. I’m extremely annoyed at the result particularly in a schedule victory, but this one reads like a fluke and I’m not sounding the alarm on this team. If anything I’m more concerned that the Penguins are back.

Would you rather have the Islanders face Hasek at the height of his powers or some third string nobody-goalie who won’t be in the league three weeks from now? Cause it seems like they can’t beat the latter.

We need a big rebound game against the Avs on Tuesday. And then for Lambert not to suddenly change the lines again even after they worked so well the game before.

Fire Lane squad back in full effect I see
