HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
Yawn
Kuch winning and whining at the same time.
Impressive.
Bonne Année!! Je vous souhaite santé en particulier les canadiens
Happy new year!!
Go Habs Go
A gift from the hockey Gods and we choke… The absolute worst game I’ve ever watched. Disgusting and them Habs should be ashamed of dropping the ball.
We outplayed them for 2 periods, they woke up after the Kovacevic own zone snipe. Oh well, happy for another Slaf point.
Idk if I’m allowed to say the word “tank” yet, but a game where Suzuki/Caufield/Slaf all get points and we lose in regulation isn’t making me that sad…
Fuck Tampa. Classless players, classless fans.
🙁
This team isn’t fun to watch anymore. At least before it was watchable, thankfully it lasted till after Christmas this year. Onto next year!!!
It was a fun game
I feel like this is where the Ls start to pile up / hope I’m wrong of course
Welp, we back onto Slackin for Macklin. Terrible game to lose after that goal
This game was frustrating.
1) Unless im missing an early season start from allen, id say this is the first time this season goaltending really failed us. Was bound to happen obviously, and is bound to happen in an increasing rate
2) With both dach and newhook out this teams lack of talent is just so evident
3) 3 straight regulation Ls, id say the far fetchd playoff dream is over at this point
Why was matheson out there after he barely was able to skate to get the icing? Also his decision making is hilariously awful
Nick, Cole, and Slaf all on the scoresheet
im happy
I looked it up so you don’t have to. We have 9 points out of a possible 52 over the last 5 seasons against Florida teams.
2 wins each and 1 loser point from Tampa…..
Out of 26 games..
We are a tortured fanbase. They played well enough the last 3 games. They just can’t get it done. As I said before, we just don’t have the horses. You could tell they really wanted this one for Marty.
Though we’re not winning, we’re at least being competitive, so that’s something. Truly baby steps! Here’s hoping for a few more over the next year.
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
*BAD*
– Bit of a tough loss because going 0/3 against the good teams that were played is tough given that every game was close through two periods. Habs win one and the narrative is a little more positive.
– Have no idea what it is with Habs and subtle momentum shifts. How many times this year was a goal called back due to review and the team collapses? This time it’s different, Habs get a gift (correct call obviously) lightning fans get all pissed (zero reason why) woke up the Lightning and then boom two goal lead gone.
– Third period again :/
– Monty gets some credit for that insane diving save but he was bad. Terrible second goal. For what it’s worth, I have zero clue why he didn’t lead of the road trip after the break with Carolina. You start your best goalie in that circumstance and he is still by far the best Habs goalie. Maybe too much time off?
– Matheson. He is doing his best but needs a bit less ice time. It’s hard because of the young guys but too many backhand turnovers.
– Lack of finish.
– Don’t get how you hit someone clean then get attacked and somehow comes out 5on5.
*GOOD*
– Caufield goal, Suzuki goal, Slafkovsky assist you know all the fun stuff.
– Team fights and never quits. Can’t say other than the one Boston game where I questioned the teams effort. That’s pretty good for a rebuilding team.
– He had some turnovers but Anderson getting mad is kinda like a pretty good thing.
– Haha that goal.
– Habs were killing it at times. Just over time got to play with that stuff for the whole 60, that’ll happen with time.
I feel like Matheson is a good player that has completely checked out of the season. Is he somebody they look to trade? Maybe he’s at that point in his career where he wants to play for a contender, idk man… effort is lacking even if the skill is there.
Edit: just want to add I dont follow trade rumors and all the implications of everything, so if this is uneducated that’s why. Just feels like he is not in it for the long run.
I’m quite impressed with Savard’s offensive showing this season. He’s shown he’s more than a defensive dman. Could land us a first this year or next.
At least Tampa ain’t winning shit this year !!!
Go habs !!!!!!!
Honestly guys, I really like Matheson, but at this point I’d pay a journalist to ask Marty if Matheson never passing to Slaf is part of the game plan.
