Kids playing shut down minutes. Gets under guys skin. Draws penalties. Makes guys look over their shoulder. A garnish of grit and heart this team eagerly acclimated. Hope he’s a rangers for many years!

Love his game. Plus I feel like he got robbed of a few more goals early this season

Listen he’s great, doing exactly what he should be doing and hope it continues but the Calder conversation is laughable with the other rookies out there

Bro should have at least 3 more goals. What a crock Toronto screwed him on multiple occasions

Calder? C’mon man. There’s no chance and it’s not warranted. He’s been very good though!

he’s been a very nice player, he’s actually been a *tremendous* driver of that 3rd line ([Bonino, Wheeler, and Brodzinski would be in the cellar without him](https://hockeyviz.com/fixedImg/replacements/2324/NYR/cuyllwi02/wrap)). having said that, he unfortunately isn’t anywhere *near* what the actual Calder contenders are doing.
not only has Bedard been Bedard, but if you believe in the « MVP means value relative to the rest of the team » idea, then Bedard is [arguably an MVP candidate](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GCcpE5IWMAE1hlR?format=png&name=900×900) given the fact that literally no one else on the Blackhawks is doing anything offensively. Brock Faber could end up top 10 Norris by the end of the season. Mintyukov’s metrics have been superb, and Luke Hughes has also been great. Fantilli, Carlsson, Cooley, and Rossi’s point production would put them ahead of Cuylle too, whether justified or not.
it’s not in the cards for Cuylle but he’s been a valuable player for NYR so far.

If you are truly going to win the Stanley Cup, you need a few players of Cuylie’s style, big, can hit, responsible in the defensive zone and good hands for some timely goals. I’lll go so far as to say, he is the surprise (low expectations, delivers far more value than you ever anticipated) of the Rangers roster.

Calder? Definitely not.
But good enough that I’m getting his name on a 3rd jersey this year. Kid has a bright future on Broadway.

His goal scoring is nice and with a benter center he’d prob score even more and I could see him developing into a Kreider esque player but lets be real… He’s not in the calder conversation nor should be with the likes of Bedard and Fantilli
