I saw a lot of complaints about that play, and was wondering how severe it was. Anyone who's calling it dirty is either the biggest homer I've met, or has never paid attention to crosschecking in the NHL. Yeah it's a crosscheck and Dilly easily coulda gotten 2 minutes for it, but it's the sort of play that happens uncalled literally dozens of times every single game.
As far as an injury, it looks like there's some padding hanging loose out of Kaprizov's equipment, so if one of the crosschecks landed where there's supposed to be padding but the padding is missing, that could be why an otherwise fairly innocuous play resulted in an injury.
