Good to see a complete game from start to finish!

Leafs play a bad team with no playoff chances – 😥
    Vs.
Leafs play a good team in playoff position – 😎

Who would thought that this is a really good team with goaltending not at the peewee level

  7. TheLoomingMoon

Benoit becomes slightly more unhinged every game. And I’m all for that.

  8. Movieandtvfan

Nylander is such a beast. That man gets better every year.

  9. TheGreatJatsby

I like it when we score all the goals of the game and win.

  10. What an excellent team win. Shoutout to Jones and the team for keeping the crease safe. Entering the new year with a shutout, GLG!

  11. ForestMirage

Martin Jones is a freakin’ Maple Leaf!

  12. asheeponreddit

Couldn’t ask for a better start to the year.

I, for one, totally believe that a 0 GAA is totally sustainable for Jones for the rest of 2024.

  13. NewTdotleafs

Most complete game of the season. You can tell the confidence and structure of the team is way better with a competent tendy in net. Benoit has fit nicely into the lineup and has really impressed as well.

  14. VanAgain

That’s a pretty good team, and the Leafs made them look pretty ordinary.

  15. AdamAAndrews

Alright pay the guy I can’t lose any of my kids

  16. Brennans_account

Do we have a goaltending problem after tonight? Martin Jones looked absolutely fantastic

  17. twizzyflyguy

Can’t wait to beat the ducks tmo and see the boys yell in Gudas face

  18. The-Only-Razor

Common Jones and Bertuzzi haters L.

We don’t have a goalie problem right now, just an injured starter. Samsonov was the problem, nothing else. We don’t need to panic and trade for a goalie, just exercise patience.

Bertuzzi was a great signing. Anyone who says otherwise is a dumbass. Get fucked everyone who downvotes me every time I say it. This is a guy you want on your team.

  19. CyborgRaptor20

Knies has as many points as dubois lmao

  20. noctisakashi

Willy since entering the league, just keeps getting better in all aspects of the game.

  21. Really happy for Jones there. Defense played well in front of him and I don’t feel like he was challenged all that much, which is good. He stayed calm, controlled rebounds and made the saves he needed to. Team did the rest. Really solid win finally!

  22. The Kings are big, but Willy was so strong on the puck tn

  23. Hulkcini

I was at the game tonight. Awesome time!

I’ve sat through the opposite garbage at the SBA like a dozen times. It was nice to be on the other end for once lol.

    See you in Anaheim tomorrow!

  24. Patrickbrown45

Fun fact: the leafs are 1-0 when bertuzzi makes a pass without a glove

  25. Svalbard38

Very excellent and fun game. On to Anaheim!

Nylander: « Fucking sign me for fuck sakes!!! »

  27. Sad_Interaction2278

Glad this team put their bodies and their lungs on the line for Jones who saved the saves we needed him to save. He deserved the shutout. Beauty boys. All the best to Sammy i hope he can get some time off and get his head together and come back and win us another serious. Go leafs go boys.

  28. bnewfan

As always, it was my great pleasure talking shit with you boys. Sleep well. It’s goddamn late.

  29. PDubs74

I’d say that was the Leafs best, full game effort of the season. Very impressed how strong they started the game and maintained that same work level.

Also, Marner had a great shift towards the end of the game killing that penalty. He blocked a pass, puck went into the corner and he played the body. I thought he had a solid game.

  30. Secondusx

Keep Benoit around. The guy is solid back there.

  31. desperatehouseknivez

Have allowed 0 goals so far this year. It’s pretty remarkable.

Leafs PP need something different. Idk what, but PP1 didn’t look sharp tn. LAs PK is number 1 for a reason, but Leafs couldn’t get that part of their game buzzing.

    Great 60 min effort, however!
