  1. @JHendrix70 The Winnipeg Jets even won Avco Cups in the WHA and they didn't compare to this at all,not to mention having been past the first round twice prior to this.

  2. I can certainly see why you wouldn't want to do anything you could to keep THAT team in Winnipeg…

sorry, Winnipeg–all 200 of the Coyotes regular fans are FAR more fiece than you.

If that's because they've had a fun time deporting immigrants before the game or have chugged about seven beers during and now can't stop babbling or else they might puke, that's up for debate…

Go Ducks, my Anaheim Ducks, the GOOD expansion team in the West!

Kil the Coyotes so the Jets can LIVE AGAIN!

  3. One of my favorite Jet's memories, thanks for posting! For the longest time I'd given up hope they would ever come back, but they'll be back within the next 10 years.

  4. Too bad Winnipeg couldn't close out the series with one more win. This was the year that Edmonton went on to win their 5th cup

  5. Hey look at that…the Jets are in the playoffs….and they have fans! since the 1996 move….they Yotes got corporate boxes, new arena, all the things Bettman loves….but they don't make the playoffs much and don't have fans

  6. Still sends shivers,,I was there and Peg Arena was shaking,,To me this was the loudest I have ever bin in…..sucs that the Oil came back though…..Bring back the Jets to the Peg,,,,,best hockey town…….

  7. Love the guy at 2:31 "beatin' the traffic". Haha. He better not sit in section S at the Bomber games!

  8. @homers700 I'm a Flyers fan down here in the US and you're totally right there…Buttman doesn't give a rat's fuck about you guys at all..NONE! I believe you guys go nuts for sure, no reason to doubt it! Hockey should have NEVER left Winnipeg…you're right!

  9. This was as close at the Jets came to knocking off the mighty Edmonton Oilers. In fact, if this had been a best-of-five series, they would have knocked off the Oilers right then and there.

But unfortunately, like the five previous times, the Jets ended up being the Oilers' bitches.

  10. I was at that game, the most amazing game ever.
Winnipeg deserves an NHL Franchise again.
    Bring back the Jets

  11. this is the platinum of awesomness!!! just a matter of days and will have them back… GO JETS GO!!!

  12. I can hear a fiddle (or a violin or something) in the backroom, anyone know what song they were playing?

  13. It sucked always having to face the oilers in the first round back in the 80s, what chance did we have? This was as close as we ever came. GO JETS GO!

  14. @jacklayton34 I actually thought the jets had this series after they won this game.Even though the Oilers had won Game 5,I still thought they were toast after going back to the whiteout at Winnipeg Arena 2 nights later.

  15. @NorthEndBlues No doubt that when Don Wittman died,he could have never guessed that his beloved Jets would return to town a little over 3 years later.

  16. good ol' don chevrier, rip, maaaaaaan if he was alive, he'd be the proudest jets supporter, gonna miss that guy.

  17. Under today's playoff format, that 1990 Jets team would have been a 4 seed against St. Louis in a 4-5 first-round matchup.

  18. During this series, Don Cherry stated that whoever won this series would win the Stanley Cup. The next three games were heartbreaking.

  19. I was at that game and cried on the way home. I think we all thought everything was about to finally change. 🙁
