no easy wins for habs, whether we have lead or trailing, every single goal is a hard earned goal where they have to work for it using a team of young inexperienced guys and a few above average veterans. its rare we get some freebies or easy goals. our development is showing great stripes, lots to improve on, we played close tight knit games against some of the top 10 teams, for a bottom 10 in development and rebuild mode, speaks volumes….wasnt too long ago that Rangers completely dismantled their team and rebuilt it, now look at them #1 in the league. Habs played as #1 and top 5 for few years under Therrien with a roster of average players + Price, we went to the finals with similar roster just extra few rounded veterans, we won in 93 similar above average players + Roy. NOW, we have bunch of high profile young gunz on our roster with a tank load more still in the pipeline to compete in a new age of NHL. Imagine in like 5 yrs when it all comes together where theyve had time to build chemistry playing together for few yrs…..thats gunna be a late90s/early 00s detroit red wings type of dynasty roster, 4 cups in 11yrs, we got that level of ammunition in the works. If we can capture 1 or 2 cups before I die that will be amazing! great game!
