One of the most complete games of the season so far. I felt the leafs were in control at even strength for almost the entire game. Lets see if they can bring the same work ethic and preparation against Anaheim and San Jose

There were a lot of factors contributing to this win. Rolling 4 lines and keeping all of the top six under 20 minutes helped and bodes well for the next game against the Ducks. Using the 4th line more than the 3rd line also helped. They outworked the KIngs every time they were on the ice.
Bobby McMann, who looked like he was playing himself out of the league just a couple of weeks ago, had 12 minutes TOI and you can see why the coach keeps playing him. Four hits and most of his ice time was spent in the offensive end, plus he drew a penalty (again). I wonder if he can fight? …It doesn't seem to be a part of his game, or even in his nature but if he did answer the bell upon occasion, his roster spot would be all but assured.

The next few games are against teams below them in the standings which means they will likely lose, and lose big time (the further down the standings they are, the bigger the leafs like to lose 🤣). I wish they could play like this every night, but too many years of hope destroyed has permanently damaged me.
