Not that this stat alone is really anything but they have a very large percentage of Canadian players.
    Weird huh.

  2. kinda funny that this is ingram's second nhl season and veg 3rd -yet 'they are playing better than past seasons' just odd thing to say

  3. Good video. Glad to see the positive attention.

Maccelli = muh-CHELL-ee not Mars Celly
He is an elite playmaker that should have been a Calder finalist last year.

Ingram was a big swing and a miss by GMs throughout the league that did not trade for him on the cheap or grab him off waivers.

The Coyotes have accomplished what they set out to do at this stage of the rebuild which is to play meaningful games. This is not a playoff caliber team as they effectively have 2 dmen in Durzi and Moser and are not likely to get far with Dumba, Dermott, Stecher, types getting big minutes. Teams like the Oilers & Kraken are figuring it out and it will be most challenging to keep them at bay.

They are also, shy a 1C. Hayton somehow makes Schmalz and Keller click pretty good but it is a middle of the pack first line when healthy and Hayton has been out for awhile and not expected back until February.

Not mentioned is, the biggest reason the Coyotes are starting to have success is Bill Armstrong and a top shelf hockey operations department. In the future, this will be a viable playoff team and will have sustained, success. The front office now has the skills and resources to make it happen and the Coyotes have never had this previously.

Some of their prospects got some attention at the WJC (Hrabal, Geekie, MavLam, Thelin). Kipkie just had back to back OT winners and is a .81 dman in the WHL. Guenther has 28pts in 28gp in the AHL and they have 20 picks in the first 3 rounds of the next 3 drafts.

The future is very bright but, barring some win now moves, the playoffs likely wont happen this year.
