  1. I'm going to remain a bit circumspect about the jets this year. That 2018 team was monsterous, outmatching their opponents with every line. This year's team is doing well, but i won't say dominant.
I will say i was wrong about buying out wheeler; thats looking like a really smart move now.

  2. Playing excellent, but Im still of the opinion to move Shimdt and piece him with a prospect for a trade at a better defence man that can help in a deep playoff run – right now there is no way he is worth almost 6 million and gets healthy scratched.

  3. The Jets could very possibly have only a handful of losses this season if their specialty teams weren't in the basement. That is how good this team is at 5 on 5.

Top line has to show up over the next two games. They don't have to "kill" the Sharks and Ducks, just get that dub. 3 – 1 both nights would be perfect. These are the games that division winning teams feast on and the Jets have no excuses now to lose either of these games. With that being said, it is always an adventure when the Jets play the Sharks…

Who knows, maybe the boys will actually, FINALLY, win the season series against the Caps.

  4. As a Jets fan I don’t care too much about the powerplay. It’s just a stat. At the end of the day the Jets are a disciplined group of guys who don’t cause a lot of penalties against them, and the Jets manhandle all other teams 5 on 5. With good goaltending they are unstoppable. One Kyle Connor comes back out powerplay will improve and then look out!

  5. It’s just a shame the sports shows all talk about Toronto. Lose a game and the world is ending. Win a game Stanley cup. What about Winnipeg and Vancouver?

  6. Dominance may be too strong a word. Vancouver is doing well. Vegas is doing well. Colorado is doing well. L. A. Is doing well. And yes, the Jets are doing well. The fans are the big winners when it is this competitive.

  7. Its exciting, I get it …..but!. Dont forget about Helly's inability to come up big in the playoffs. There is a reason nobody else in a 32 team league wanted to sign him, he does not have the mobility of a Quick or a Fleury and he also lacks the mental and physical depth it takes to win the big games. You say Vezina but you have to consider that most of the shots he faces are typical saves made by NHL goalies all year long, the credit falls on the team in front of him for allowing him an easy go at it. Look what happens when he faces breakaways. All a person needs to do is revisit the magical playoff run to the conference final against Vegas a few years back to see where it hurt the most. I said before they dropped the puck in that series that Fleury was the key difference that Helly has no business being part of. Jet success however has a better chance with Brossoit in net.

  8. I really would love to have Noah Hannifan on our team. I know he's expensive, but maybe we can get him, Sean Monahan & Ukko Pekka Lukkonnen to back up Helle next year in Free Agency. Those 3 will definitely improve our team
