I would be excited if this was only because Brandt Clarke forced Blake’s hand and it would be stupid not to promote the kid, but the alternative here is that the big club is currently on a downward spiral and they need something to shake things up. Hoping big things for Clarke, but it’s still on the team to dig themselves out of this slump.

I want to see Gavrikov/Clarke. You have the beef on the left and the skill on the right. You can drop Clarke into the PP2 to see if he can add some scoring chances there.

I’m worried someone is gonna pickup Björnfot on waivers, as much as I want to see Clarke I don’t wanna lose Toby!
I wish they could send down Laff for a spell and bring up Turcotte to kick the tires on him. Also, I think we’ve seen all we need from Kaliyev. Kick the tires on a trade involving him. Even if it’s just picks to open up a spot for the kids.

Had Faber’s rights not have been traded to MN, I wonder if LA would have started him/kept him in the AHL vs Day 1 in the NHL like the Wild.
