Personally, I thought Carlile played great and hope we see him back up soon. That being said I am very excited to see Thompson debut.

I think JBB is just spreading around the NHL money amongst Syracuse’s defenders.
Hope Carlile gets into the next game.

I’m excited to see both these guys play. Carlile played great though.

Seems surprising when he did alright last night, but if you look into how wrecked the blue line is and where we are in the standings the move makes sense. See what you have and hope there’s something there

Hopefully these young guys seize the moment and free us from having to play Fleury and De Haan all the time

I get trying out the prospects but Carlile was solid

I get trying out different guys but I think it would really be helpful for this team to go a stretch with a consistent lineup and line combinations/D pairings. Even before the injury bug hit, feels like the personnel has constantly been in the blender this season. Shows on the ice with the lack of chemistry and consistency

I’m assuming this was the plan regardless of how they played. Audition time for blue liners. I thought Carlile earned another start BUT, we definitely need to know what we have in our young group, now.
If you told me a couple weeks ago we’d be getting multiple guys up for a look I would’ve been super excited.
The fact Carlile played so well complicates it a bit, but overall this is the right play.
*Edited to fix a tense shift

Took 3 injuries and a trade for the organization to finally see what some prospect defensemen have to offer. Lilleberg is mean as fuck and very physical. Thompson has some skill and can move the puck. Excited to see what these guys bring to the table!
