I agree that Colton had a game to forget. In his defense though on the first goal, he wasn’t making a pass and just lost the puck stick handling which is incredibly rare. Great when he can have an off game and the Avs can still grind out a win on the road against a team like Dallas. Looking like the boys have found another gear!
I pulled up the espn app just in time to watch that break away goal to win it! I was like wait did that just happen!?

Man, Avs have been just horrible defensively. It helps to have Sammy back as far as puck movement goes, but the Avs really need another stay-at-home defenseman. Offense has been able to make comebacks, but definitely not a recipe for success in the long run.
I'm a hawks fan and I love Nathan mackinnon. Reminds me of a more physical, faster Marian hossa

Mack is putting himself into discussions for best avalanche ever. With players like Sakic, forsberg, Roy, and others with shorter tenure (bourque)… nothing to scoff at. I still think makar runs away with that title before their careers are done but mack is playing at a generational level and it can't be overlooked by fans.
I'm hoping that RyJo will turn it up when it really counts late in the season, yes he's slow, but can produce when the chips are down. We all miss Lehkonen, and agree that Toews was an incredible find and is an unsung hero (his career +/- is 139 !!!). The only thing that you didn't mention that I thought was a big factor was that the ice in their barn is awful (not as bad as their old barn, but pretty slow which doesn't favor the faster team.)
