   One of the most respectable NHL careers. Good forward; could score, pass, help out on D, solid all-around player; good grinder that could do it without being a jerk taking tons of PIMs; over 1,000 games played; 4 organizations played for and never left on a harsh note; skilled scout and now a GM in San Jose and doing well.

   Not bad for a 9th round pick!

   He was a great team player. Did all the little things well.
   Should be on the cup, that Sabres team was awesome.

   That story from peters on ATW about Grier telling him to buckle his chin strap before practice because it’s time to work, what a professional.
