    You mention the Oilers as having goaltending issues, but Skinner has been better as of late. In his last 12 games, he's 10-2-0 with a 920 SV%. We'll see if he can keep it up, but he's been good lately.

    Domi is getting better …Bertuzzi isnt making much of an impact …Samsonov is on waivers & totally out of the zone most of this year….the d-men are not tough enough in front of their own goalie ….makes for a goalie aquisition for sure with Hopes Woll is back soon…i hope they stay playing & practising together with the lineup they have….cant keep blowing up the team every year at the deadline either…that obviously dont work as history proves it ..
    Im a leaf fan die hard for 58 yrs ….and once again….i dunno !!!

    Let's be honest… Matthews would have already 40 goals if he wouldn't have to concentrate so much on playing defense! Time for a BIG TRADE LEAFS!!! One guy i could inagine is Roman Josi? How about it?

    Marner and maybe Robertson for Josi?

    Saw an interview with Tuukka Rask and he said before he retired the game was becoming so fast that he was having trouble reading the puck—fast forward to now and goalies seem to be struggling at an unprecedented rate—what Rask said seems to be true

    Samsonov has been terrible don’t get me wrong but Sheldon Keefe has been terrible for years and yet he somehow keeps his position. We need a new coach and hopefully a couple decent defence men.

    In my opinion defence is the main problem not just samsonov. Matthew’s has been our best defender that’s how pathetic this team is

    Don't get me wrong, Wohl is the best goalie they have. But don't make him out to be Johnny Bower just yet!!Leaf fans are making Wohl out to be the saviour upon his return- be careful..

    Off load Samsanov reaves and marner ,, gotta get marner to waive no trade ,, but at same time if I was Willie I’d be looking to get off this train wreck , he gets zero respect,, the other night willie made great play beauty shot hardly even touched JT stick JT didn’t even know and all yeah here is JT scores ,,,not a word about willie so sick of JT marner Samsanov reaves

    The Capitals are not struggling with their goaltender this year, even though Kuemper could play better. Their goaltending got better after getting rid of Samsonov and Vanecek.

    Putting Samsonov on waivers was an absolute last resort but I believe that a call-up from the minors of Dennis Hildeby, Keith Petruzzelli or Vyacheslav Peksa, with Artur Akhtiamov on loan, is better than using Samsonov. No goalie under contract to the Leafs has a higher cap hit than Samsonov, and it's not even close with sub-US$1-million per-season cap hits for each non-Samsonov goalie. It may be that only with moves during the 2024 offseason the Leafs will make enough improvements that they need to make it to a 2025 conference final but only time will tell on that count.

    I think he probably go through Waiwers and then could be traded for low pick. Then new team could give him chance and if Samsonov fail they still could send him to AHL without new waiwers, and then not need to play full salary. But Raanta did go through waiwers too and he have lower salary.
