@Flames de Calgary

    holy fucking christ.

we just lost to the fucking AHL team of the worst fucking NHL team in the league.

WHAT MORE OF A SIGN DO YALL GOOFY ASS’S NEED TO SELL

  3. Iginlas_4head_Crease

Why would you want to keep all your players? You’re 13th out of 16 in the west. Lol. Mediocre ass aspirations

Meh. I mean we all know the flames need to make some drastic changes, but fans getting upset over this is a bit much.

I read this statement as « I am saying words without saying anything of value. »

The flames always keep their cards close to their chest.

If he says « WE’RE SELLING THE LOT OF EM » he’d probably tank everyone’s value. Him saying he wants the players is probably posturing.

Everyone’s freaking out but I don’t think he meant it literally. The players are still on the team at the moment what’s he gonna say? Oh ya good riddance guys we’re glad we’re trading you?

  6. I’ve been ok with how things have gone this year. Kinda what I was expecting. I think a real make it or break it point for a lot of fans will be how the mgmt responds. If they double down on this season I think you are going to see lots of fans walking away.

I don’t know, the way I read that “we’d like to keep all our players” is the same way I read “I really want to stay in Calgary” from pending UFA’s that promptly fuck off.

It’s just something you say. Means fuck all.

Can’t say “yeah we really want to move on from loads of these guys”, unless the plan is to tank the trade value, or generally get the players to hate the org.

I could be completely wrong though, I often am.

  8. Welcome back to perpetual mediocrity everyone. It was a fun 1 year

You owe the fan base some kind of direction here

Relax guys. It’s just typical Maloney Baloney ^TM. He’s not exactly gonna say « yeah all our players fuckin suck, we’re open for business ». That’s how you get a 2027 2nd and a bust prospect for Lindholm. It’s all about image in the management/ownership world.

Words mean nothing, *actions* do. I am admittedly not very confident in this organisation’s ability to take the best actions, though. Fingers crossed.

  11. Nothing wrong with what Maloney says.. the writer’s own bias is getting in the way..

What kind of a hockey team President would openly say we don’t want to keep our players and go all negative on them?

Also he is being honest, for the right price/cap-space he would sign them, who wouldn’t? These are good NHL players whether you can keep them or trade them, they have value.

Murry Edward’s decides who stays and who goes never seen an owner hold so much power before it’s crazy all he cares about is money in his pocket he doesnt care who wins or loses

  13. smilecrocodile1

« We’d like to keep all our players »

Holy shit this organization does not care about performance and this statement shows it.

  14. HunrMoon

You are the ownership. YOU are supposed to dictate who stays and who goes.

  15. Every time he talks I feel worse about this teams future.

  16. TheHowlingFish

oh man.. Im social distancing mahself from this 🏃💨

  17. eyehatecody

I don’t want to keep any of them regardless of cap. The team isn’t good enough now, it’s not gonna get better as these players get older.

  18. Unlikely_Rip2221

Just making playoffs is millions in revenue. People forget this team is a business. As much as some fans would like a rebuild, it’s unlikely ownership is willing to make that gamble.
