  1. you never want a player regardless of reasoning to wear your logo if he doesnt want to play for the organization.

i have to say i am pretty surprised as Danny said, turning down a chance to play for the Flyers is insane.

  2. Ducks fan here. Just wanted to let you Flyers fans know that Jamie is a very solid player. His only knock so far has been injuries. If he stays healthy, you guys will be very happy.

  3. You're a liar, Danny! You made the decision to send him back to BC. He wanted to play for Flyers this year. Danny chose Morgan sucky Frost and Noah Cates over him. DANNY YOU PUT THIS ON YOURSELF. Thanks for losing a great talent!!!

  4. So many people are blaming Torts. I get that Torts is a tough coach to play for but anyone who has had a tough coach and worked with that coach will tell you that that coach made their game better. Torts is making some of these Flyers top notch players.

  5. Looking at the thumbnail and ignoring the writing on the wall… the pic of Brier is reminiscent of a 1970s photo when Boston traded Phil Esposito to the Rangers. The hair, the tie, the awful lighting.

  6. Cutter didn’t want to play for us, so Danny traded him to the worst team in the league rn. Another Danny W

  7. Honestly such a weird shitty thing for Gauthier to do… From an Oilers fan good luck with Drysdale and a 2nd, can't wait to see Cutter's first game against the Flyers lol.

  8. That's a shame, he's going to be a great player. Hopefully Drysdale can stay healthy. Seems like he'll be a good one

  9. This Gauthier’s an arrogant clown. Playing in Philly was probably to scary for him. He prefers playing pond hockey & winning 25 games a season with zegras.

  10. Let me first say that there's no doubt that I'm disappointed that Cutter Gauthier had to be traded, as I was hoping he'd play later this year after the Frozen Four tournament was over, but if he didn't want to sign here what else could Briere do?

Make no mistake, this trade is Danny B's attempt to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.

As for Jamie Drysdale, the one positive aspect of this trade is that the Ducks have recent history of drafting very good defensemen ( Cam Fowler, Hampus Lindholm, and Shea Theodore), but Drysdale's injury history does give me some concern.
Hopefully he can at least grow to become the power play offensive defenseman this team needs, or maybe even grow to become the best Flyers defenseman since Eric Desjardins.

There's no doubt that the city of Philadelphia itself is a Democrat-run hellhole and the nation's Founding Fathers are turning in their graves (especially Ben Franklin!); but the Flyers as an organization, are second to none.

League wide the Flyers are celebrated as an Original Seven franchise that has managed to condense 100 years into just 55 years of largely success, the Penguins may have three more Cups than the Flyers, but the Flyers have NEVER faced bankruptcy as the Penguins have, the Flyers are the best of the '67 expansion teams and because of the teams success (Two Stanley Cups and six additional Finals appearances since 67-68) the Flyers have surpassed the Toronto Maple Leafs as an historic franchise.

Here's hoping Cutter Gauthier's career ends up like Nolan Patrick's and Drysdale becomes the next Mark Howe or Eric Desjardins!

  11. Danny’s transparency is so refreshing. It’s nice to hear everything happening rather than Fletcher who said the same crap over and over. Cutter would have had a great opportunity here in Philly but oh well.

  12. Honest straight up guy Briere. Breath of fresh air. Unlike cutter who has smelly breath and isnt straight up and honest.

  13. Imagine not even talking to or meeting the team that drafted you before playing a second in the NHL? What an entitled brat. Briere even flew to Sweden to meet him. His parents wouldn't even meet. Understandable not wanting to play for a team, but to just ghost them? Kid has issues.
