  1. Gonna miss Drysdale RH D are great but if they arent playing due to injuries, gonna be a good move IF Gauthier signs. Epic troll if he doesnt.

  2. What a great trade injury prone drysdale to a absolute beast in cutter dude killed it in the WJC we have enough d man we need more wingers

  3. Doesn’t really bother me that much – Drysdale is injured a LOT and there was bad blood during the last contract negotiations. On top of that we seem to have a lot of talent on the blueline.

    So makes sense I suppose.

  4. Scoring goals is way down for the organization (NHL/AHL), this needed to be done if we're in major rebuild. This draft needs to be a solid pick on a sniper type score less set up. Even if the kid European/Russian.

  5. I dislike players that don't want to sign with the team that drafted them. Anyone know what his reason is?

  6. I literally found out about this trade a bit late while reading/commenting on your other video from earlier. Wow! I really liked Drysdale and he is going to be a legit top end Defenseman in the NHL for the entirety of his career more than likely….but, Gauthier might be the young forward the Ducks have been desperately needing! I think anyone who follows hockey knows his upside and how high his ceiling is! That and of course a lot of articles will be talking about how stacked the Ducks are with young D talent…which is true, but the Ducks are also going to draft in the top ten this year and most likely somewhere between 4 and 8, unless they finally get lucky with those ping pong balls. This years upcoming draft is loaded with high end defensemen and after the first three picks the next three or four, where the Ducks are likely to pick are those very same D-men. As of right now, Drysdale will be missed for sure but this trade looks amazing! Let's hope I am singing that tune in two years.

  7. heard he is refusing to play for ducks as well haha. zegrass is next up on the chopping block

  8. "They say hockey is a business." Maybe the NHL! Also "business" like "professional"! Fake ass terms! USA! USA! USA!

  9. More than likely, Cutter is going to have an average hockey career, which is typical for players with bad attitudes.

  10. You Ducks fans better hope he signs. Dont forget the Canes tried this and it didnt work out with Fox. Also, this is a major wtf. He ghosted an NHL team, thats a massive red flag. The ducks are gonna get their ass kicked for a few more years, lets see how it goes

  11. I can see the swap but why the 2nd rounder; flyers have less leverage.

The crazy thing is I was watching the world juniors wishing Gauthier was on the ducks and lamenting the fact the flyers had his rights already…this was just a few days ago so the fact this happened is mind blowing rn 🤯

  12. As a PHI fan was stoked for cutter. Clearly has a very big ego/entitlement mindset. If he pans out he'll fill the net esp w/Zegras & Carlsson. Hope Jamie stays healthy for us.

  13. Next Season:

    Young Forwards:
    Zegras
    MacTavish
    Carlsson
    Gauthier

    Solid Experienced Forwards:
    Terry
    Vatrano
    Henrique
    Strome
    Killorn

    Young Defenceman:
    Mintyukov
    LaCombe
    Luneau
    Zellweger
    Warren
    Helleson (?)

    Solid Experienced Defenceman:
    Fowler
    Gudas
    Lyubushkin

+ 3 draft picks in the 1 and 2 round – I think atleast 1 of them will be starting the season…

All in all – it doesn't look bad at all. 🙂 I like very much Drysdale and it hurts after Lindholm/Montour/Mahura/Theodore to see another good drafted D goiing but with those injuries…and this contract fiasco…I think it was inevitable…

    I wish him good luck!

  14. I get the emotional attachment people have with Drysdale, he and zegras were sold as the next generation of ducks but come on guys. We are stacked with defenseman and really thin on forwards, great deal by verbeek.

  15. From a Rangers fan, I think it will hurt to lose a right handed defenseman but Gautier is a stud. Hoping it ends up being a win win for both teams 😊

  16. Need to bring hellson since they trade Josh for that prospect zellweger is not ready quite yet maybe next season

  17. Can't help but think Anaheim got taken advantage of due to recency bias. Big possibility this player is as toxic as they get. You never trade a sure thing for a possibility. Trading a stud D man, and a pick for a problematic, immature, toxic player reeks of failure. The kid refused to talk to his bosses, even after they flew to the tournament to see him. The kid is toxic af.

  18. As a Ducks fan, you have to try to put a positive spin on this. Drysdale is a proven NHL player, a right handed defenseman who can be in a team's top pairing. His injury record is frustrating no doubt, but you know what you've got with him. Gauthier is an unknown. His success at the World Junior Championship is no guarantee of NHL success. He is also a winger. In the hierarchy of building a champion, you build around centers, defensemen and a quality tendie. On top of this, Ducks give up what might end up being a top 40 draft pick. Sorry, but IMO all the Ducks have done is solve a Flyer problem and rolled the dice based on potential being realized.

  19. This is a huge move by briere. I was just in a convo with someone with me saying Karlson won't win the cup without being on a defensively minded team (if you look back at Ott even with incredible run they played pretty good D with amazing goaltending) anyways… look at Dobson, even Josi…Drysdale seems like the perfect fit… let's look back at history, ghost, D'Angelo, looking for Krug… but this is a gem and a bold statement. Drysdale can use his offensive weapons in a defensive sound system. Maybe not 80pts but wow 50pts on the blue line, thats A+ Pro scouting right Their. huge win by the flyers. I can smell Zegras heading out the door too…send him to San Jose, Clown.

  20. I got abunch of drysdale signed things earlier this season and now they are giving it away basically im like atleast i got it while it was cheap

  21. Ducks definitely wins this trade. dont see Drysdale becoming much more than a high end 2nd pair or low end 1st pair guy, while Gauthier will be 40 goals scorer top line power forward

  22. As a Flyers fan the census here is you guys won this trade! Cutter looks like a stud based off his play at BU and the World Jrs. There is a very large concern here that we didn’t get fair value and are taking on damages goods in Drysdale.
What kind of player is he most Google searches start with him playing 18 games the past two seasons but Ducks fan seem to love him.
Gauthier was sold to us along with Michkov as being our future but now that’s gone. Is Drysdale really a nice consolation prize? Or did we get a player who’s an injury waiting to happen?

  23. From Philly: good riddance. The ego and attitude on this kid is hard to believe. First he tells Philly he wants to play there, then changes his mind, then refuses to come to camp, then refuses to speak with anyone from the organization, then ghosts them at the World Juniors. Sounds like a Yakapov, Laine, Dubois type crumb. Enjoy. Drysdale will ultimately be the more valuable player

  24. Congratulations, Anaheim, on your soon-to-be locker room cancer, Quitter Gauthier! 🙌🙌🙌 May he have a long, disappointing career.
