  1. With everything that the NHL is doing to make sure only the US teams win, Canada will never ever win the cup again, unless the NHL leadership is kicked out for good!!!

  2. What a joke, 18,000 laff fans 60 years old and younger spending thousands of dollars on shirts hats and tickets, and none of them have't a clue what a championship feels like, This is why the polls for all sports have the laff fans at 37% the most annoying fans in sports, .This is why Nylander wants to stay in Toronto. He has learned from Sundin and Salming that it doesnt matter if you win or not, you are a king in laff land

  3. Originally there were only 6 teams in the NHL, and Canada had two of them. Statistically a 1 in 3 chance that the S cup would end up in Canada. Now there are are about 32 teams in the NHL and Canada has 6 of them. Statistically there now is a 1 in 5 chance the cup will end up in Canada. And that is assuming that all the teams are about equal, and there are not all the high performing teams in the US. etc Then there is the division team distribution, where two canadian teams can play each other in the first round etc., lessening the chance of a Canadian team even reaching the finals. And the chance of two Canadian teams playing each other in the S cup finals is just about zero.

  4. Not as long as Bettman is commissioner. No upside to a Canadian team winning. The market’s already cornered. That’s why teams in the sunbelt keep winning.

  5. Ending Canada's cup drought ? . Only if Gary Bettman dies . Come playoff time the tide turns for any Canadian squad teams. The reffering is sided for American viewings . Big money for the NHL and American franchises revenues , bigger Nielsen ratings .

  6. For a Canadian team to win, they need to have a complete team. Be able to roll 4 lines, have a solid d-corp, and good goaltending. The Jets and Canucks have that. The Leafs and Oilers don't. The book is out on how to play the Oilers in the playoffs. Stay disciplined and keep McDavid and Draisaitl hemmed in their own zone. Without PPs, the Oilers are just ordinary. Vegas executed their game plan against the Oilers to a T. And for the Leafs, you shut down the Core 4, they have no depth to pick up the slack.

  7. Are Leafs fans going to be bitter if Van or Wpg brings a cup back to Canada? Hmmm. Toronto can’t win they’re totally unbalanced. LDS, Leafs Derangement Syndrome.

  8. 82 game season, it's not so much a season as it is a marathon. Anything is possible. We shall see as it unfolds. Go Jets.

  9. Cup drought? That's adorable. It's statistically almost impossible that no Canadian team has won a Stanley Cup in 30 years.

  10. How many fuckin videos need to talk about the Nylander contract. Jesus fuck Toronto Sports Network, even Leaf’s homer O-Slob is getting sick of it. 😂😂😂

  11. Somebody else said this already, but why when you have two Canadian NHL teams in the top 5 (Vancouver, Winnipeg) would you put a Toronto and Edmonton player in the thumbnail?

    Ridiculous.

  12. For the last 10 years, once the leafs got ousted from round 1, I was rooting for any and all Canadian teams for the cup. It is about time Canadian teams dominate and keep Standly north of the border!

  13. Thought the conversation was going to be about the Nucks and Jets but…yawn. Even if either the Canucks or Jets were to win the cup, the conversation would still be about the Oilers and Leafs and how theyll do it next year 😂 pathetic.

  14. Canadians win ever year… Canadian team's on the other hand.. Are not going to win anytime soon.. Wasting money on guys with hero back bone

  15. Core 4 getting payed too much how you gonna pay everyone else? Bettmans cap world not working how can you allow guys to get a quarter of teams pay dosnt make any sense. Get rid of cap for team and make a cap for one single player

  16. Dead ass. I see the Panthers or the Bruins taking it. Panthers are on a real tear and seem more of a team than last year, and the Bruins want revenge from last year. It’s hard to see it any other way.

  17. Funny how the Jets and Canucks were afterthoughts when talking about Canadian team winning a cup. Neither Leafs nor Oilers will make it out of the first round.
