LES FLYERS DE PHILADELPHIA FONT QUOI ???

Voici mes brèves réflexions sur l’échange choquant qui a envoyé le meilleur espoir Cutter Gauthier aux Ducks d’Anaheim !

  1. Not proud of it but i wouldve been in favor of the flyers holding on to him and screwing him. Young kid on entry deal doesnt get to throw a BF imo

  2. Hoping Drysdale can be an answer at the back end on the Power Play. If we had an even a mediocre Power Play, we're currently last in the league, we'd be a much tougher team to play against

  3. Two overhyped prospects change teams, and the other one has an attitude problem. Wouldn't call this a blockbuster, as most reporters seem to do.

  4. Honestly we should've just drafted Jiricek over Gauthier. But I'll still take Drysdale, very well could've been less

  5. I really like philly‘s d-core with sanheim, york, drysdale. But it always feels like these talented young almost offense only d-cores suck. Look at ottawa, they have all the talent in the world but they can‘t defend their goal and have below average goaltending that gets even worse with no real help in front of the net. Vancouver had the same problem, got themselves a few top4 guys that defend well and look at where they are now

  6. Didn't Gauthier tell them before drafting that he doesn't want to play there or is it not just Philly itself but also Torts?

  7. Mostly I'm curious as to the actual reasons why Cutter didn't want to go to Philly. Honestly, even though I am a flyers fan, I remember how directionless the team was last year under Fletcher, and I remember that we did burn some of our guys on the way out like with Hayes when Danny B came in. Plus Torts is…. hard to love as a coach even though he wins. It's a lot of not great impressions to make on a prospect. Complain about entitlement all you want but I don't think that any player makes this choice lightly. I hope to hear his side of things and I'm really, really curious.

  8. Trading Drysdale is dumb. Dude can fly and is a big-time playmaker. He’s going to be an elite D man for a decade.

  9. this has got to be maybe the nicest NHL trade ive ever seen, both sides seem to be pretty happy with it for now.

lets see how this turns out in a few years tho, we all saw how Zibanejad’s trade turned out

  10. Ducks fan here, I am so stoked about this trade. We love JD here in Anaheim but with how loaded our D prospects are, this is a no brainer. Cutter is a beast, plays with that dawggggg in him!

  11. Style of play matters. Brad Shaw will get more out of Drysdale in Philly. That 2nd round pick could also make this trade lopsided for the Flyers. On the surface, sure.. but reality will be far different. Lets see what Cutter can do in the league but I think Philly won this one.

  12. Wait until Michkov decides he doesn't want to play in Philadelphia either. Traded for a torn labrum to be named later.

  13. When the Flyers held Cutter’s rights: “He’s a decent prospect.”

When the Flyers trade Cutter’s rights: “He’s the top forward prospect in the world.”

  14. As a Canucks fan, not a big fan of Gauthier after his altercation with our boy Lekkerimäki at the World Juniors. Philly was smart to get a pick out of Anaheim before word got out about Cutter's character. That said, both teams seem better suited for both players.

  15. Honestly as a flyers fan I’m fine with it. I loved Cutter. Followed him since he was drafted. He’s a great prospect. But in all honesty if a guy doesn’t want to play here it’s never gonna work out no matter how talented they are. Philly isn’t the demon den its reputation suggests, but no one wants to be told they aren’t wanted. And frankly, as good as cutter looks, he’s played zero nhl games. He’s still an unknown. You don’t know if you’re getting Marchand or Puljujarvi.

Drysdale I’m super high on. I know he’s been hurt and has looked shaky but the kid was rushed to the bigs and is still 21. Half the d core on the flyers are rentals about to be shipped out, and we had a desperate need of a 1D ceiling. I think he can reach it. If Shaw and Torts can turn Risto, Walker, and Seeler into solid, desirable D men, I think he can do wonders with Drysdale.

frankly it seems like we went from 1C with no 1D prospects to 1D with no 1C prospects. And got an extra pick. Works out for me

  16. Oh and Philly also has Michkov in their pipeline. Gauthier passed on the chance to ride shotgun with a generational player who will probably help Philly win a cup again. Bro must really hate cheese steaks or something.

  17. The real question is why so many young players want to avoid certain cities. This isn't a new thing, it's been happening for several years now. The crime alone would keep me away from Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, LA, and NY. Chicago averages 46 shootings every weekend, to the point that the news rarely even covers it.

  18. DucksFan, here. Not happy with this 1. Drysdale has done his best, given the poor state of bob murrays era of build and destroy. I don't think a top-2 projected dman and a high pick for a power forward, is the answer. If you are lacking depth on forwards…you dont let guys like Sonny Milano and Sam Steel…just walk to other teams. Pay them. You have the cap space. For any of you big-brain commenters…the team needs 6-7 quality dmen. Fowler is old and expensive. Trading a 21 year old, is not beneficial. You can draft a power-forward.. we're literally gonna finish lower than where Cutter was drafted. The 2nd will basically be a late 1st..☠️ I'll be back when this doesnt age well past a couple seasons of "ok" out of Gauthier.

  19. just absolutely disappointing as a flyers fan. it’s always 1 step forward 3 steps back with this team. and the shittiest part about this situation in particular is that it’s not their fault, they tried everything they could and he didn’t even give them the decency of a conversation. no doubt he’s gonna be a very good player, perhaps even a hall of famer one day if all goes as it’s supposed. but he also seems like he’ll be a frustrating teammate and player to deal with. or maybe i’m wrong but still just sucks because damn i was really excited for that kid to come here and play in the orange and black. a real damn shame.
