  1. You guys (Ranger fans) have had a Cup over there in the last 30 years. As a Canucks fan, I'm waiting for it to fall apart. Even when Vancouver has had a contending team (usually out of nowhere), the decline has been swift and immediate. By 1996, the 1994 team was basically destroyed and your boy Messier put the final nail in the coffin. The 1982 run was a one-off shocker, as was the 1994 run to a great extent, even though that team wasn't much worse than the Rangers, compared to 82 when it was a complete mismatch. In 2011, the team just collapsed from top to bottom on the ice. But on the 1 in a million chance the Canucks actually do something in the playoffs and the Rangers and Canucks meet, I hope both fans, especially mine, behave themselves and it's a classic series like 1994. That was the best Cup Finals I ever watched live. I came into it thinking New York would win easily and by Game 5, I had no idea. By the end of Game 6, the Rangers looked dead. Until the refs gave them a power play and some calls went their way in the first period of Game 7 and that was the difference. The Rangers were probably the better team, but over 7 games, it was closer than people expected. I hated the way Rutherford and Co treated some in their organization because we're Canadian and we don't treat people like discarded dog crap, but so far, I can't argue with the results. But I'm expecting the bottom to fall. I've see this team be great before and then choke. Cautiously optimistic. The Rangers will probably go further in the playoffs.

  2. You won my vote. You and Nuckhead keep it positive and fun as it SHOULD be! Keep up the good work, Ace! The Tuxedo Birds don't stand a chance tonight as Nucatron Prime rolls into town. GO NUCKS GO

  3. It's so easy to give an "A" this season….what about last year….would you have given all " A's" then ? Having said that I understand an "A" for all this year

  4. I know Canucks' Goalie Coach, now Dir. Of Goaltending, Ian Clark, has been with the team before The Rutherford era, but he and his staff should get a huge 'A' for the body of work they've done. You can see how it's helped smooth out the edges with DeSmith from a technical standpoint. Both goalies are almost mirror images in net and it's this stability that has really given the team infront of them more confidence to be creative . Awesome video

  5. You really do have to give credit to the GM and management. With the shit show that was last season, it would have been easy to capitulate to pressure and make moves that deviated from the plan. Staying the course because you believe in it, and ultimately vindicating your plan under tons of pressure is what makes a you good leader.

There are at least a million Canuck fans who are now surprised at how wrong they were about the teams vision and direction – myself included.

  6. 4:24 I was always a Pearson fan, and wasn't happy with how things were handled with his injury. I had hoped they'd send him somewhere where he could play more, and it looks like the Habs were the right destination (though he was injured there too – I think he's currently not playing). Canucks still won that trade though. I believe DeSmith needs to play another 12 games to get to the 25 game mark, in order for him and Demko to be eligible to win the Jennings trophy (correct me if I'm wrong), but it's easily do-able.

5:31 Cole's biggest flaw is too many penalties. But he does make up for it with other skills. He's not there to flex the net. He's there to shut down other players, and he seems to be able to do that just fine. Not sure if he's a keeper though, unless he signs for cheap.

6:10 Is Fries injured right now? Or has he been sitting for a while? It's nice having options on D right now, like the other night when Cole was parked in favour of Juulz, who has seen some improvement lately.

Subscribed. Good video. I like being able to reflect on what has changed to get the Canucks to where they're at now.
