  1. Well as a Whalers fan I will say that if the team had to go anywhere I'm glad it was Raleigh. I remember what the late and great radio personality in Hartford then Arnold Dean said to Whalers fans in 1997. Basically that if Whaler fans were angry then not to blame people in Carolina who had nothing to do with the move. And that there are a lot of good people in Carolina. I wished them well and that Carolinians take care of the team. Keep it going always.

  2. Amazing video. As a hockey-starved Chicago native relocated to North Carolina in the late 90's, I was absolutely stoked about hockey in NC. I can't speak for all transplants down here, but I bought into Carolina hockey. It isn't the longest or most storied franchise, but this team has thrilled us in their time here. 2002 was fun and 2006 was unreal. I'm happy things are better again with new mgmt and with Coach Rod behind the bench.

  3. Amazing!! Hope we get to repeat the raising of that cup again one day! We miss you John Forslund!! GO CANES!!!!

  4. As a Capitals fan who left DC years ago it makes me happy I can still see them twice a year and just having hockey in general. However , Cane fans can be fairweather. If they are winning , then suddenly a zillion Cane fans everywhere. When they aren’t , good luck finding any.
