  1. I think the hockey gods smile down on Sidney Crosby and giving him more time and the grace of a great hockey player for the time they took away from him in the early 2010's

  2. Great that we got the one point tho. Absolutely critical DK! If this game happened last year we probably don’t even get that one point let’s be real lol.

  3. I’d like to say too. Maybe we do have too high expectations for everyone on the roster I think a lot of players on our team are still playing really well but to expect everyone to play just like Crosby is asking for too much in my opinion. The only thing I didn’t like about this game was the flat start but I appreciate the pushback we had tho. I think Vancouver should get a lot of credit too they are a REALLY REALLY good team this year!

  4. DK your speaking about Penguins-itis. It’s been a bugaboo of this organization since hell 1984 and you know who came here then.

  5. WTF is wrong with Dubas that he’s actually doing LESS than Hextall EVER did….????? Kids riding his rep to major league soccer , or …..??????

  6. Jarry can’t stop a breakaway to save his f**king LIFE.

YINZ KNEW IT WAS GAME OVER WHEN PETTERSSON GOT THAT MOVING………

    FFS.

  7. No mention of how Jarry came in and stood on his head or this game would have been 5-1 or 6-1 before Sid's first goal got them to 3-2? He finished only giving up the one goal in OT but he's just as responsible for them getting a point out of this as Crosby is. The goaltending is just as troublesome as the rest of the team in not knowing when or why it's switched on or off at any given moment. So they'll start Jarry next game for sure, but let's hope he's awake when the puck drops.

  8. A 3 on 1 break without a shot on a net, which then leads to a goal the other way perfectly sums up the Pens season. Also, how did Karlsson not drop that puck to Crosby instead of forcing it across 😫😫

  9. They gotta trade for a defenseman who is physical to replace Graves and who can see top pairing minutes, not just bottom ones like Ludvig and who POJ is badly subbing for. I think the POJ experiment has run its course. There's really no use or future for him here anymore. This team is too easy to play against in their own end. They make no opponent even the slightest bit tepid about loitering around the goaltender and getting easy screens and deflections. Can't just make clearing them out the responsibility of the bottom pairing, especially when they see so little ice time to begin with. Letang does his bit on that pairing, but no matter who Karlsson is paired with (Graves or Pettersson), they are as physical as a wet noodle. Which is why EK is not bringing the puck out as easily as he is known for when he has to be all the way back to support and pinned in instead of being anywhere logical to start a break out. This lack of physicality goes for the forwards too. Not enough of them are making people pay the mandatory sur charge for spending time in their end.

  10. Great J1Q this morning! It expresses the frustrations of alot of us fans! The inconsistency is a constant issue with this team. From period to period different teams can show up to play.

  11. They played great last night. OT is what it is, not 5 on 5 and we wouldn't have to worry about that in playoffs. Glad we got the well deserved point.

  12. It's great the Pens are getting production out of the bottom 6. But, what does it say when your 4th line is outscoring your second line? Everyone was pointing fingers at Reilly Smith. But was he really the issue on that line? Geno started the season on fire at 5 on 5. but he fizzled and has shown no signs of reigniting the flame. As Geno goes, so does his linemates.

  13. The Canucks were coming in off of a 6-4 win over the Devils in New Jersey, a 6-3 win over the Rangers in New York and a 5-2 win over the Islanders in New York. That's a really good hockey team, one of the best in the league, that is on an absolute roll right now. It's not always about the Pittsburgh sports team playing bad when they lose … sometimes the other team is just better. Coming from behind and taking that team to OT last night was actually really good.

  14. We had every opportunity to win this game. EK65 hit the post and rust almost scored at the end of the game. We just didn’t get the bounces ! With that being said we played the best team in the league! Let’s not be to hard on them.

  15. You don’t, “think much of Demko”? Why, or maybe I should ask, how can you make such a statement about a goalie who’s leading the top goalies after half a season? Look at the stats and put your personal feelings aside. I like what you do, keep it up!!

  16. It always seems like they just come out and play with not much effort until they c how there opponent is playing and then pick it up but most of the time by the time they pick it up it's already too late. It just seems like they can't or don't want to play a WHOLE 60 min game, they'll give a 30 to 45 min game but that 15 to 20 min is where they lose the game and I don't no if they're capable to do it, cause they don't do it often enough to believe they can

  17. I think for someone who doesn’t think much of thatcher demko or the Canucks. Should probably think more of them cuz they are doing something right in Vancouver.

  18. Dk i;ve been banging this drum for years now. The Pens simply do not have the team composition to get them far. They have a composition that is good enough to get them into the playoffs for years <well maybe this wont even be counted on>, but when the physicality picks up in the playoffs they just arent tough enough to endure the rigours of the playoffs. Additionally, this is a team with no plan B because they dont have the composition to have a plan B. They need 2 or 3 Ludvigs out there..what the hell was wrong w. Gubrandson when he as here? and etc. Instead they brought in Karlsson…fun to watch but not the answer. With all this talent why cant they score on the power play? I think I know..its because they dont have any Ludvigs out there. Playoffs come and they just get beat up…Jarry gets run over, they dont clear the crease and etc..When the opposing teams get down vs the Pens they do have a plan B..they just start hacking and get under the Pens skins..it works

  19. Crosby really is incredible and incredibly unique. Even superstars have a weakness..many of them simply dont even have the skillset to attempt the things that Crosby routinely does…I;m talking about when people try and compare Crosby to Ovi for example Ovi cant even do or maybe even think about doing some of the stuff that Crosby does. Plus Sids leadership, community involvement, and etc. He really is one of a kind special even among other superstars. Ed

  20. That look on Carter’s face after the first goal against…. Eeeeehh, loaded nachos was probably not a good idea before the game.

  21. So is it too early to look at how better or worse off the team is with Reilly Smith instead of Jason Zucker? Would it have been worth the extra $300k to have Zucker on the team instead? I'm not even going to look at stats because each team has ways of doing things that help dictate how a player might fare statistically in one environment over the other. Let's just debate the very noticeable qualities and intangibles in what Zucker brought to the Penguins versus what Smith has brought so far. Or look at it this way: Who would do a even up trade in Zucker for Smith right now if they were GM?
