Congrats to Czechia. They’ve eliminated Canada twice this month. At the men’s Juniors two weeks ago and here too.

Canada just choke? Czech golden generation? Hot goalie?

Canada doesn’t loose at these very often, especially to a team that isn’t usa

  4. This is great for women’s hockey. Didn’t they recently readjust the pools since they felt there was more parity among teams?

My sense of national pride has already been gutted outside of hockey, only thing left was hickey and the future looks bleak

Czechia came out with a strong desire to win, and Aneta Senkova was a wall. I hope they keep it going and win it all! Good luck to our girls in the game for Bronze as well.

By the way, the captain of the Czech team is Adela Sapovalivova – sister of Matyas Sapovaliv, who was a part of this year’s Juniors team that beat Canada in the quarterfinals. It runs in the family.

This is great for women’s hockey. Hopefully it is more of a case of Czechia skilling up instead of a really poor Canadian women’s class.

Where’s that angry Canadian from r/nhl who was rambling about the world needing to respect Canadas dominance?  Surely he’s not gonna love this one.
