Keefe had one line going (the 3rd line), Keefe should've promoted Domi and Jarnkrok (they were the best Leafs) and given them more ice time, again Keefe got outcoached.
Keep on paying the core 4 50% of your cap. Looking forward to more plugs filling the 3rd and 4th line and bottom 4 d man spots. A sure dynasty in the making.

This game was as poorly reffed as the Raptors Lakers game. So many infractions went uncalled for Colorado to the detriment of potential serious injuries to the Toronto players. What is it about Toronto sport franchises? Every league/reffing crew hates them and it's so blatant.
Once again, ZERO accountability from Keefe! I don't know if I have ever once heard him say that it was HIM who made a mistake. Never, "Well I messed up with this decision, I should have done this instead." He's just pointing fingers and playing the blame game in every single loss! FFS.
Almost every set back. In all the games. Is needing improvement on the defense as a team of players. Why they lost the games. Didn't block, the team from entering are zone. In the right ways. Not blocking them out, to hold a lead or control the game enough and stop plays and cut the team off. Didn't do a defense structure. Let them in. Let them make plays. Let them score. Not enough effort as a group makes these results. Making mistakes because of lack of effort. Trying to rely just goaltendering.
If only they gave out cups for blowing leads… thankfully that nylander extension all but guarantees an almost identical team/season next year… seriously wtf is the goal here!?

Most of the season this team has ended in a tie and going to overtime and hoping you get a second point. That is not how you win a cup. How many times this season have they been up by 2 or more goals and they throw it away and again hoping to get a point for a tie, maybe 2 in ot. Its sad really, surprised this team still has a fan base.

Here's what happened (it's simple to explain actually)… The Avs have a fast, talented, elite, well-balanced offence, and the leafs have a well below-average defence!
Why do the leafs have such a horrible defence? Because they spend > 50% of their cap on 4 players!!! And they just made another huge mistake in signing yet another forward to an 8 year $11.5M contract, so NOTHING will change! Defence, goaltending, and well-balanced teams win cups (see Tampa Bay, Colorado, Vegas), whereas top-heavy 1 line teams win NOTHING! Also, as a coach, sheldon keefe is absolutely useless. Any coach who would play a slow, clueless forward like tavares whose reaction time is sloth-like, on the power play and put him on in the last minute of the game only to directly give up an empty net goal, is an idiotic and clueless coach who needs to be fired immediately!
Domi gives it his all every shift, something that Marner doesn’t do.

Anyone notice that whenever their goalie doesn't stand on his head, the Leafs lose? Even on their recent little winning streak, they needed Jones to have a .970 sv % to make it happen. Take that out of the picture, and the Leafs are outside of a playoff spot right now.
Well, Kudos at least to Keefe for recognizing that MacKinnon is the "top player in the league". Rather than minus-3 Matthews.
Leafs are in big trouble now, If they have Sammy in the net they'll get spanked hard. If they don't get some top D guys they may not make it to the playoffs, Jones isn't gonna cut it either. God knows if Woll will come back strong when he does come back. They really need a better coach, They should have locked it down when up 3-0, That's on the coach I think.
