This season is taking an interesting twist
I feel kinda bad for Elvis. I hope he gets to play again soon. He's been pretty much standing on his head this season to help us win, or to not lose by much.
coaching and management is a joke.
It is fair to allow Tarasov to play more games, he has played well since coming back. And had a few really standout games. Elvis has played better this year, he has had some bad moments but so has Tarasov. This is a team with a lot of weird things happening the past few years and they are just figuring it all out. With that said I love Elvis and i hope there is a scenario where he stays. I take everything Pascal said with a grain of salt considering he is an NHL coach, so i feel like Elvis will be going somewhere else.

I like Elvis, but his performance is not aligned with his salary. Splitting his contract will give us decent performance at a better price.
Considering Elvis gets sick and misses games every few weeks and last season's poor performance, he should probably have a bit better attitude about the situation. They have to give Tarry a look and they can't waive Martin and lose him for nothing.
That being said, if Elvis had to apologize to everyone for a single incident, then Pazzy should make Johnny Hockey apologize for being invisible half this season, Provorov for his random awful mistakes that have led to goals, and everyone on the powerplay for being unbelievably inept despite a ton of talent.
Whenever Elvis leaves, I expect Jarmo to follow him out the door. The kids look promising, but this season has been a failure of the veterans, notably the offseason acquisitions. Add in the coaching drama and the only chance he had was a winning record. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else makes the Elvis trade.
Elvis: 23GP 3.25GAA .907 SV%, Martin 13GP 3.65GAA .887 SV%, Tarasov 7GP 3.79 GAA .883 SV%. Please tell me why we have to worry about waiving Martin with those numbers? Not a single one of them has #1 goalie numbers. Elvis has had his off moments this year but was starting to rebound from some down years. Your numbers and mindset tend to suffer when the D structure in front of you hangs you out to dry so much and doesn't cover your blind side. Yeah, Elvis could use a change of scenery, but the house needs to be cleaned from top to bottom, starting with the genius that signed him to this #1 goalie contract.
